Awesome book
This is a great book for children of every age. Explaining about the work the first responders do and the feelings they have is awesome.

Get this if you know any kid with a hero in their family!!!
This book is a must for any child who has a first responder in their family!!! As the daughter of a police officer, I would have loved this book then. As the wife of a police officer with young kids, I loved reading this book to my kids. As a psychotherapist who specializes in first responders and military, I am buying this in bulk and giving it to my clients who have young kiddos!! It is such a beautiful way of normalizing the experience of kids whose lives are impacted by the responder life. It even addresses symptoms of PTSD without making it a bad thing or labeling it!! Such a fantastic read!!

A little depressing/overboard
Okay so overall this is a cute book, but it got a little depressing for a bit!! Especially for a young child. We kept reading and it got a little dark “sometimes I feel sad or mad, and sometimes I may shout”....”sometimes I feel like I want to cry” ... “sometimes I feel sad, frustrated, or mad” “sometimes my job makes me feel worried and scared” .... I understand that these are all part of a first responders emotions, but it’s a bit heavy to be repetitive about it in a child’s book, in my opinion. it seemed like the focus of the book was more on the instability of the parents emotions versus the hero aspect.

Good Book
I read this to my children the other night. Although I don't think they got the "behind the scenes" message its very nicely written and my kids related it to paw patrol but in a more realistic way. They enjoyed the book.

I highly recommend this book to any one who is a first ...
I highly recommend this book to any one who is a first responders, in the medical field or the military! My four year old loves it and we read it as a family. I run a Facebook page for SO of first responders in Mass, and a good portion of the group also bought this book for a little Father’s Day gift. It is perfect for toddlers and up and really helps them understand what either their mom or dad do when they are at work and when they come home.

Great book!
I bought this book for my grandsons. We are a family of first responders. My husband, their grandpa and my son, their dad are police officers and their mom is a nurse. They love it. Thank you so much for writing this book.

A must-have for children of first responders! Very well done!
My husband is a police officer and the job demands as well as the emotions that come with the job are sometimes very confusing and difficult to understand for a child. This book does a wonderful job of explaining these topics in a way children will understand.

Great book for our children. Bought this for Christmas after my husband became a firefighter. Helps put things in perspective from a kid/family point of view.
