Worked on my T-Outliners.
Bought a new set of blades for my 12 years old T-Outliners. Already had the blade setter ordered that was going to arrive a day after the new clipper blades. Tried the new clipper blades as set by the Andis factory. Shaved my face, and the blades did not bite, but they did cause razor burn on my tender neck area making it red. Reset the blades with the blade setter, and next shave was perfect. No more razor burn on my neck. Apparently, the Andis factory had set the new blades a little bit too tight. Not happy about the cost. It's just a small piece of plastic. On the other hand, it did work good for my T-Outliners.

Allows adjustment
Update. The one with yellow stripe works on both the gtx and the outliner 2. I figured it was worth a try before buying a separate one. Worked great on first try. This is great. I had manually zero gapped my GTX blade and set it back a few mm. Making changes manually was tedious. This will default to a 1mm gap. You will need to look closely to make sure both blades are parallel to each other. My first two tries it was at an angle so I tried again. I got it perfect on my third try. If you want a further back setting, you can use a thin shim to set a custom depth. I did not need to do this as the 1mm “zero” was perfect for me. I can edge my beard daily and clean up my neck without any razor burn. I am surprised no one else mentioned if a shim would work. I had previously went with a 3mm setback for a 5 o’clock shadow look. That was tricky to manually set. This allows a quick setting and you only need to make sure the blades are parallel. You can add a thin shim to change the depth. I have not had to readjust since setting my blade. I’m very happy.

Look at the visual
The instructions are confusing, the instructions will have u doing this backwards, I looked at the visual pictures and it worked like a charm! And it also has a QR code to scan for further instructions. The owner must realize people ordering this product are not professional barbers

ZOMG this is incredible!
Don't mind my grays in the pic lol.. it was taken after one single pass using Andis T-Outliners adjusted with the Blade setter. I've been using Andis Outliners II or T-Outliners for 20 years now. I typically go to the barbershop once a week (pre-COVID) as I like to keep the cut very fresh. I've encountered a many barber that do a decent job of lining up - I have also encountered my share of barbers that ruined a good cut with a bad line. Either way, I have been in the business of doing it myself and I tend to do a much better job because I'm taking more time and care with my own head lol. I also use a straight edge to shave as well as touch up my line. Ok, enough with the background. For 20 years I have been without, but no more. This tiny little inexpensive piece of plastic has taken my Andis to the next level.. it's SERIOUS. I will never, ever, EVER NOT use this to set my blades ever again! Out of the box, the Andis are okay.. this takes them a few levels higher. Every single day, I'm looking like I just stepped out the chair. And there's no razor burn, it's a very clean and close cut. And since they are so precise, so far I have not had to push my line back at all.. which, if you use Andis right out the box and do not use a straight razor.. well, you'll very likely be pushing your line back just to get a nice edge up.. this level of precision has given me wings like Redbull lol.. Now I've read a couple reviews where they say it cut them pretty bad.. well, although I have been lining for 20 years, this was my FIRST time ever setting the blade with any tool.. I followed the instructions and they were very simple and straightforward. In the end, the moving blade is MUCH closer to the stationary blade but it's actually not perfectly lined up evenly with it.. there is still a teeny bit of overage of the stationary blade if you look close enough so it's not "literally" zero gap. Well, THIS is exactly what you want. If the blades are exactly dead even then a) you did something wrong and b) you will very likely cut the hell out of yourself. All in all, I just had to come and write a review to give props where props are due. Thank you guys for making such a great product.

BEST BARBER ITEM /UPGRADE OF ALL TIME
After 20 years of fumbling Andis blades, a sincere THANK YOU!!! There is no other way to describe this item other than it is pure perfection. Any other negative review probably purchased the wrong blade setter for their blade or was not using a brand new blade. This set 4 GTX-S and regular GTX blades out of the box, on 4 trimmers out of the box and saved me HOURS of trying to adjust the tension / blade. They hit absolutely perfect and shaved my thick, course, prickly, beard hair down to smooth skin with no irritation. I have VERY sensitive skin as well. I ordered this 2 years ago and cancelled the order due to a few silly incorrect reviews. So glad I tried it for myself. Thanks Rich Barber, you deserve all the riches!!! Seriously amazing work.

Works, but technique is required
I had a barber who could eyeball and adjust a perfectly sharp, but not biting blade. I was hoping this tool could provide that level of accuracy. During my 1st attempt the blade was too sharp on one side and it nicked my face. I followed the process again this time ensuring I held even pressure on both sides of the blade while simultaneously tightening the screws, It took a bit of coordination to accomplish. However, the second time was the charm and the blade was sharp, without the bite. Conclusion- it takes this tool and a bit of finesse to get it right.

Great value and supporting a young entrepreneur.
Loved this product, I had bought a pair of Andis T liners that weren’t zero gapped from the jump. I bought this item without high expectations. Man was I blown away. It’s not just easy to use but made my clippers sharp and precise. It only took 10 seconds to make them straight and zero gapped. I highly recommend this product and the blade modifier. You will not just save money but will be investing in a young ballers company. I was not paid for this review, I legit wanted to leave one because of my frustration on some crappy blades that came with my andis.

Purchased the Andis slimline pro a few days ago and whilst they were cutting close straight out the box they weren’t quite cutting a close as I wanted.. I’d heard about zero gapping and watched a few YouTube videos but didn’t fancy setting them up wrong and cutting myself. I then found this blade setting tool & I have nothing but praise for it! Took me about a minute all in as I didn’t know what I was doing and wanted to take my time. The results are fantastic! Cuts much much closer now and doesn’t nick the skin. Simple yet ingenious device!! 10/10! Highly recommend this blade setter!

Quality, well made bit of kit. A bit expensive but it does the job very well and it's made for purpose.

This is such a simple device to get your blades zero gapped. Saved Abt $15 compared to the andis zero gap tool. I paid close to $27 for this and don't regret it.
