Worked Great For Us
Looks like some people had some problems. That wasn't the case for us. First off I don't fret over my eggs getting a little chill. My broody hens hop off their nests to eat and drink and get in some scratching and go back even when it is cold out and still have good hatches. I figure no biggie then if I have to open the incubator sometimes. I couldn't quite figure out how to set the temperature and found the instructions unhelpful, but it came programmed for a 21 day count down at 100 F so I just let it go. The other thermometer was reading 1 and 2 degrees cooler. I set 9 eggs to give it a test run. 1 egg was not fertile so I tossed it. I had 8 fertile eggs running now. I had 6 out of 8 hatch. Not bad. What was weird though was they hatched out over a 4 day period. Was about to throw out the last 3 on day 3 from the first hatched when I heard chirping coming from one so I put them back. About 24 hours later 1 hatched bringing the grand total to 6. I have had this happen with my hens too so not completely weird. When with my hens getting off the nest with babies I just throw a heat lamp on the eggs for a couple days so they can finish hatching. Temperatures stayed spot on. It is Spring so I am not running heaters most of them time, just throwing on sweaters when chilly and opening up the place when warm. We were having about a 25 - 30 degree swing in the house temperatures when I was running the unit. Temperatures stayed level in the incubator. One thing I learned years ago is just keep it in a shady spot where light doesn't get to it from a window. That seems to be the only thing that will throw my temps off. Turner worked fine. Someone else had an issue using an extension cord. Maybe it was their unit or their cord, I can't tell you. Mine did not have that problem though. I used an extension cord for my turner with no problem. I had the heating unit plugged into a wall though. Don't forget to pull your turner out and lay the eggs on their sides a couple days before hatch! Overall I am happy with it. It was practically plug and play. My first digital until and I loved that aspect of it over the knobs! Seemed I was always having to tinker with those. Give it a little water sometimes and adjust the plug on top to get humidity where you want it. I was really nervous the big window would lose heat but it did not. It was great having a clear view of all the happenings. Another big plus was the plastic shell around the styrofoam. My old ones did not have that and were damaged easily. I did not realize this unit had that so pleasant surprise. Only thing bad with this unit was the egg candler. Since I bought it without it advertised as included I am not going to knock it for that. But the only eggs it worked for were my white eggs. It did not work for my green ones at all. I was worried with so many poor reviews but it worked great for us. I hope it will work as well when we use it again. I will update if I have an issue with it. I do wish it had a longer warranty. The 30 days on it is why I immediately ran a test batch to check for problems. Now I have 6 chicks that are barnyard mix breeds that I don't really want but I will go ahead and keep the girls for layers this Summer and sell them this Winter. I wish I had more time so I could have separated my flock for purebreds. That alone is a 30 day waiting period. Plus if I could have waited to hatch it would be warm enough to brood outside instead of my bathroom :( I would say give it a try, and be ready to toss chicken eggs in as soon as you get it to catch issues other people have had so you can do something about it. Doubt if you'd have enough time for Duck or Goose eggs before warranty expires. UPDATE. Hatches geese. I used a zip tie looped to make a ring on the floor of the incubator and set eggs in so they wouldn't roll around. Goose eggs too large for turner. It is still working great for us and I would buy again. Warranty still stinks though if they haven't updated it.

This is a very good incubator
The fan and heater is very quiet when it turns on, it rises up to temperature very quickly, supper easy to control humidity, holds temp very good, it is Farley easy to clean if you clean it with hot water right after the you are done with your batch of eggs or whatever your hatching. It only drops 5 degrees below the set temp and it quickly rises to the desired temp in no time at all.. Pros: 1.holds temp very well 2. Easy to control humidity 3. Only drops 5 degrees 4. Has a day counter 5. Very quiet when it turns on 6. Warms up quickly 7. Comes with a candler with the incubator 8. The egg Turner is very durable Cons: 1. The motor for the egg Turner does get very hot after the first 18 days If I were to buy another incubator this will be the one.....

Horrible hatching numbers, poor customer service, overall headache!
I am extremely disappointed. I have several incubators and was looking for one that held more eggs and chose this incubator based on reviews and farm innovators reputation. Now I wish I hadn't. Set 41 eggs, removed 1 infertile, the remaining 40 showed growing life. Hatch day came and all eggs sat dormant. Thankfully, they began to hatch the following day (it happens sometimes, so no biggie). While my other incubators hatched quickly with only a couple early stage losses, this incubators hatch was SLOW! Now it is day 23 and hatching just finished. HUGE bummer and financial hit (we sell chicks) out of 40 eggs, only 18 hatched. The other 23 were late stage losses. That is a 57.5% loss! I plan to contact the seller and attempt return. ****UPDATE**** Out of the 18 that hatched, two had splay leg which I have NEVER had with my years of incubating, and another died the day after hatch. I know not all eggs will hatch and not all hatched chicks will survive, but I fully blame this incubator! I did contact the seller and they worked with me and allowed me to return the incubator after Amazon's 30-day window. I cleaned the incubator completely, ensured no damage had occurred since it is Styrofoam and thin plastic, and carefully packaged it back in its original box with all parts. Taped it up well and dropped it at FedEx with the label the seller provided. I expected a less than paid refund, though I was truly hoping for full refund, but hey - I did end up with 15 healthy chicks after all. But no - seller only refunded me $60! I paid more than double that!!! Purchase this incubator if you are looking for low hatching rates with chick deformities, a stupid and difficult to use water system (it leaked all over the table and was difficult to fill!), high humidity issues with condensation and uneven warming, and far less than par refund when you just want your headache gone. I have several other incubators that are FAR better!!

Durable and works well
This incubator is durable. I am currently using it for the fourth year in a row, with typically 1-2 hatches per year. I haven’t always had high hatch rates, but that is likely more my fault rather than the incubator since I always forget that I have to turn the eggs while I’m collecting them so it is likely my first few days of eggs go bad. One note that I learned this year. My automatic egg turner went out in mine this year which isn’t a huge issue since it lasted through probably 5 hatches and it is working in high humidity levels. However I turned the tray into a manual egg turner. Since I had chicken and duck eggs both in the same incubator, I elected to lee the egg turner in there since it is manual now and I could check chick’s legs and locations before turning the eggs. I have actually had a higher hatch rate and healthier chicks using this method. This is because developing chicks need the eggs turned otherwise they slump to one side, hit the shell, and are not able to get their required nutrients. When it is an automatic egg turner, you have to remove it 3 days before hatching to make sure chicks aren’t caught in the machinery. However, I have always had eggs stop hatching typically 3 days after turning, maybe four at the maximum. The rest of the chicks die in their eggs if they went’t quite ry to hatch. By continuing to turn them with the manual egg turner, I have had chicks hatching for almost a week, and the later chicks are as healthy as the ones that hatched on time. I did collect all eggs before starting my incubator so they all started on the same day, but development might be taking slightly longer for some than others. To summarize my review, the incubator works well. I recommend deactivating the automatic egg turner and turning them by hand through day 21 at least for chickens, and potentially day 23 or 24. Just remove chicks to a safe place after hatching since they can still get jammed under the egg turner while playing if they are left in too long. For manual turning, I turned my eggs 3 times a day, split evenly between morning, afternoon and night and I had good success. For the company making this incubator, I recommend having the option to buy a cheaper version with a manual turner, or maybe no turner at all. When looking at replacement turners through this company I found out that the automatic turner is 61 dollars, which is a significant amount on the cost of this incubator for something that in my experience, does not do as well as I can manually. The plastic shell is a great benefit, and the reason why I will likely buy this brand again when mine goes out even though the automatic egg turner is extra that I don’t want. Update, don’t leave the egg turner in the incubator even as a manual with baby ducks. The holes in the bottom of the egg turner are exactly the right size for baby duck heads to go in and get stuck. I will be converting mine entirely to manual, and just turning all eggs by hand. It is more time consuming, but it is worth it for safe hatches and higher hatch rates.

Love this incubator!
When buying this incubator, I did expect the temperature and humidity to be somewhat off only because the control panel that comes with it reads up a little bit higher than where the eggs would sit. However, I did end up buying some extra thermometers, and that only cost me about seven dollars for the two that I purchased, but as you can see in my second photo, it is reading about 5° less than what the control panel reads. It also reads about 6% more for the humidity in my third photo, I have another thermometer, this one is reading fairly close to the temp of picture number one and humidity is only 3% more compared to the control panel. I highly recommend getting a couple extra thermometers just to make sure that everything is around the same temperature and humidity that you need. As for the day counter, this does definitely work. I had this incubator running for about three days now and the day counter has been going down exactly on time. However, I still do recommend marking your calendar or something so this way you know exactly when your eggs should be hatching, when you need to take them out of the egg slots and when to put your eggs on lockdown. As for the egg turner, this also has been going off every 3 to 5 hours. Which is exactly what you need for hatching your eggs. Overall, I think this is a perfect starter incubator and I highly recommend buying this. Again, just make sure you get a couple extra thermometers and throw them in the incubator. This way you can monitor where exactly the eggs will be. I would also like to mention when you start up this incubator, (without adding water) let it run for about one hour check your humidity and add water to increase your humidity as needed make sure you ONLY put water in your #1 filling hole. If you need to raise the humidity higher add to #2 filling hole. I hope this helps anyone who’s having issues with there humidity! I will update on hatch rate once my eggs hatch. Keep in mind when buying an incubator DO NOT go by what people say there hatch rate was you need to go by how consistent the humidity and temp stays. UPDATE 1 my day counter stopped working which for me is fine since I keep track of my days on my calendar and a paper I’m down to day 4 before my eggs hatch and my counter till says day 6!

Easy to clean but thermometer isn't accurate.
The temperature doesn't measure temp near eggs. I had to zip tie a small thermometer with humidity reader to the egg turner. Had to keep the temp on machine 4-5 degrees higher than the temp I needed or it would have been too low for my Eggs. The temperature probe sits too high in incubator. Be nice if you could adjust the height. Humidity gauge was close but still lower than my other 4 thermometers I had inside incubator. Everyone has said quail eggs have a low hatch rate so I can't say for sure I would have had a better hatch rate with a different model. We onky got about a 50% hatch rate. But this incubator is super easy to clean and love the plastic hatch tray because it cleans easily. We added a dish mat inside for eggs to sit on the last 3 days so they didn't roll around when quail started to hatch. The groove for the egg turner motor to sit in inside was not cut out enough so we had to cut it ourselves. The motor was touching the foam and cousin a smell and to melt. Once cut it worked perfectly. A pretty nice incubator except the top thermometer isn't accurate at all. As long as you have your own inside near eggs you can play with it and get it just right. We actually ordered a replacement because the thermometer wasn't accurate but the replacement was exactly the same.

All in all happy
I've run 3 batches of chicken eggs in this incubator since April (it's now July) and I've averaged a 50% hatch rate, which isn't too bad. Don't know about anyone else but can you imagine hatching out every egg that will fit in this thing lol? I'm happy with 18-22 chicks at a time. I hatch for later processing, and 20 birds to process makes for a looong day. I enjoy how easy it is to set up, mine was a plug and play, it was already preset to 100° which worked out fine, already set at a 21 day countdown, and already set in farenheit for temp (my best friend bought a different incubator and hers is set to Celsius with no instructions on how to change it, and her days countdown just keeps counting up - 4 hatches in she's on "day 84" lol. Borrowed hers before I bought this one and out of 72 eggs I only hatched 5 chicks!). Each time I unplug it, it restarts the days countdown to 21 days automatically as well as the 100° temp, so I haven't had to mess with any of the buttons. Pros: -already set up for plug and play -easy to put together/take apart/clean -simple mechanics, easy to use -comes with an adorable candling flashlight (bring your own batteries) Cons: -definitely situate in a draft free location, the pedestal fan I use in my room at night takes the humidity level down by 10-15% -days 18-21+, when higher humidity is needed, the viewing window becomes saturated and difficult to look through, but it's not a deal breaker (see pictures) Tips: -the instructions mention removing one of the two red plugs on the top of the unit for ventilation purposes. Doing this affects humidity also though, so when I took those red plugs out, I flipped them upside down and re-covered the hole accordingly (see pictures). -the black plugs for the EZ Fill holes fall out easily when transporting the incubator, so I store those plugs inside the incubator when moving it from storage to where I set it up. -this unit holds humidity well, but in those last few days it won't reach the necessary 70% needed; cut up an unused sponge, dampen each piece with warm water and set them inside the incubator (see pictures). All in all I'm happy with this unit, it's a great investment for my little farm!

Easy to use, works great, has a little noise.
This was easy to use and we hatched out 13 chicks out of 24 eggs (some of the eggs didn’t seem to be fertilized so it wasn’t the incubator’s fault on the few that didn’t hatch). The egg turning feature made it so easy, just had to keep an eye on temperature and humidity, but mostly humidity. Turkey baster works well for adding a little extra water in the front hole when the humidity drops. The countdown to hatching seems to start from exactly when you set the machine so keep that in mind when checking the countdown (ours was started early afternoon so it would change number of days then). The machine made a little noise like a hum, reminded me of a microwave sound (see my video) It’s not very large so it fits easily on a countertop.
