Son's Birthday
My son picked it out on Amazon and of course he loved it. He always sends me his Amazon list a couple of months before his birthday and before Christmas. Makes my shopping a breeze.

Liked it.
This is a very good book for players who like Ozzy's music and the styles of his guitarist. Note that this book does not show you complete songs but the highlights. The one of the best feature is the CD, they put the guitar on the right side of your stereo and the backup band on the left so you can turn down the guitar and play with the CD, very cool. Also the instruction is great and easy to follow and if you are not a strong reader of tablature (TAB) it has some helpfull definitions in the back. It will be tough for a first time guitar player to buy this and try and keep up, but I wouldn't underestimate the drive of a future guitar hero. Have fun!

Not what is pictured.
My copy I received does not have Mr Crowley as is pictured. Granted, the description does not have it either so partly my fault for not checking the description and seeing the difference.Otherwise the rest of the book is good.

Great book but not complete...
First of all, I am a big fan of the Stetina Series as he shows you how it's done step by step. This book has the exact transcriptions of the songs (with the exception of Shot in The Dark as the other reader said, be warned) and the CD with excerpts of the songs played full speed and slowly so you can hear that each solo and riff note by note.I took away one star because the book excludes parts of some songs, most notably the cool outro in "Bark at the Moon" and the fast part after the solo in "Killer of Giants".Despite that flaw, it is a great book. Highly recommended.

Glaring omissions but uncommon theory additions
I agree with the others. Great great book in the sense that transcribing was done well and Troy stetina adds several paragraphs to each section of each song - explaining how Randy composed the song and teaching theory tidbits and in detail how to recreate certain iconic soundsBut like the other reviewers I must take away points for some glaring omissions. Guitar on my kap right now I'm learning crazy train, the song is nailed by nailing the fills and all of Randy's ever changing melodic pieces. Crazy train is missing the fill at the end of the first verse. It's missing the different fill at the end of second chorus. Anf I'm not finished yet. It seems every song will be missing a lot of the finer details, which is notably sad because that's both the beauty and complexity of the piece, Randy was a fountain of variations - I greatly appreciate the added paragraphs of theory explanation to better understand my eternally young guitar heros genuis, however bc of these omissions it's not a comprehensive book for the covers if you want to play note for note studio versions as I do - and that's a big deal, I spend the money on the music books when I really want to study something, should be one stop shop

This book DOES NOT contain "Shot in the Dark"
Contrary to what is written above.

Good quality
The biggest minus is that this songbook DOES NOT contain Shot in the Dark song. The rest of the book is of good quality.

Abbreviated Versions of A Few Ozzy Classics
The transcriptions are divided section by section - Intro, Verse, Solo etc. I like the concise style of this kind of book but it definitely lacking certain Ozzy classics.
