Excellent quality and good addition to our dining table when whole family visits

Beautiful piece, solid oak, unfortunately I sent it back because it was too heavy for my needs

It’s hard to fault the construction of this table extension as it’s actually rather well made and very nicely finished too. The satin oiled oak looks great and feels pleasantly smooth to the touch with no splinters or rough spots to be found on the underside.Upon turning it over, you can see how well constructed this piece of furniture is with plenty of screws securely fastening the outer rim and lateral supports.My only misgivings about this item is in respect to the asking price - it seems an awful lot of money just for a table extension, even a well made one.In conclusion, and if money’s no object, then go ahead and order this as you won’t be disappointed.

Nice wood, robust and heavy. However some parts were not even mounted and the pre-holes in the wood were too big. At the end I had to move these parts to a slightly different location and drill new holes. Also the extension panels are not included.

Whilst i am sure that this would work perfectly well as a table extension, this is not what i am using it for.I am in college studying for a degree. I live in a small bungalow and have no dedicated study space. I had a gap of exactly 90cm by the side of my bed in my bedroom, and have never been able to find a desk that small. When i was offered this i jumped at the chance to take it, knowing full well i was going to turn it into something else.So the 1st thing to mention is that this wood is an exact match to oak furniture land's natural oak range which is what my bedroom furniture is, fortuitous one might say. I then bought 4 iron hairpin legs, and some 4.5mm x 30mm wood screws.I removed the struts from underneath, lined up the legs, marked the holes with a marker pen, and try as i might the screws would not go in the wood, the wood is very hard and dense, and so i had to drill pilot holes 1st. I then had to use my power drill to put the screws in because my cordless and manual ones could not put them all the way in. My hands hurt today from the strain of trying to do it.Anyway after a few hours, all 4 legs went on, and the desk fits perfectly in the space i have, so i now have my dedicated study space for my degree.It looks fantastic, matches the rest of my bedroom furniture, and I'm thrilled with it.Thank you Alkove.Pictures attached.

This is a beautiful extension for the table. The colour of the wood and the way it has been put together is very good indeed.The extension is very well built and is quite heavy. On the reverse side, all the screws have been countersunk and has a very smooth surface finish meaning that there are no little splinters to snag clothes.The surface is very smooth and is again snag-free. It has an oil finish that adds the finish of the wood and in my opinion, is so much better than varnish.This is a lovely extension for the table and just looks very nice indeed, a little on the pricey side but still very nice.

I'm very much impressed with this item. From the picture it looked to be of good quality (although pictures aren't always accurate) so was thrilled when it arrived and the quality matches what was pictured. Lovely smooth surface and the wood is nice and thick. Underneath is wonderfully constructed with nothing that needs doing. Took only around 10 minutes to assemble. Where, yes it does sit lovely as an extension, we've actually decided as its such lovely sturdy wood to customise it into a small table for my son's playroom (which can be seen in pics). Yes a touch pricey for a table extension, but it's certainly a situation where "you pay for what you get" and would be something I'd recommend.

Perfect addition to the table to extend it.Very expertly crafted. Joins are invisible down the side and on the front/back.Very heavy, like the table, absolutely top standard quality wood so it does come with weight.Beautifully designed to be an extension.Absolutely fantastic quality

Ein hochwertiger und sehr gut verarbeiteter Tisch. Oberflächen und die abgerundeten Kanten machen einen sehr guten Eindruck. Der Aufbau war zu zweit (setzt aber zwei Personen voraus, die ganz gut heben können) in 20 Minuten erledigt. Die Verpackung war auch ordentlich, es kam alles hier heil an.Der massive Eichenholz Tisch wird uns sicherlich über Jahre gute Dienste leisten.

Costo in linea con la qualità del prodotto, che è specifica per un tavolo prodotto da Alkove per conto di Amazon, Dimensioni: 50 x 90 x 4 cm. Realizzata in legno massello di quercia selvatica con finitura naturale ad olio, che dona lucentezza e una superficie liscia. Consente di aumentare le dimensioni del tavolo classico a 4 posti, accogliendo più commensali , almeno due. Design una via di mezzo tra classico e di campagna, si adatta sia ad uno stile più rustico, di campagna che uno stile più contemporaneo .Facile da montare, non occorrono particolari attrezzi o competenze, come detto è un'estensione di un tavolo della stessa azienda, ma con qualche accorgimento, e con un tavolo di dimensioni simili, si può adattare. Ottima la robustezza.
