Ultra-light-weight violin bag with adequate padding
As an adult who only occasionally transports my violin, this violin bag provides adequate protection for my violin, and it only weighs somewhere around 16 ounces (454 grams) when empty. Although I ordered "Mocha" color, the bag delivered was labelled "Brown," a bit darker color than shown in the product photo, but I like the darker color anyway (see my photos for a fairly accurate rendition of the "Brown" color). Knocked off one star because the outside zippered pocket is too short to fit a typical fiddle instruction book (see photo), but (yeah, another "but") I've carried two books in the pocket and the books stayed put. What I really like is the bag is flexible enough so I can carry my fiddle with the substantially padded shoulder rest I use (see photo). There's plenty of space to remove the shoulder rest and place it under the neck of the violin.
