A nice enclosure made of material that can be drilled and machined without cracking as some material does. The effectiveness of the waterproofing is as yet unknown but the sealing strip seems good when cut to length and you can feel it compress when you tighten the lid down, so it probably works!

The Therlan Waterproof Plastic Junction Box has been a great find for organising and protecting small electronic projects. Its compact size is perfect for my needs, and the IP65 rating gives me complete peace of mind when using it outdoors. I recently used it to house some wiring for a garden lighting setup, and it’s held up beautifully against rain and damp conditions. The material feels sturdy and durable, and the grey-white colour gives it a clean, professional look. The box seals tightly, and the waterproofing is excellent—it’s reassuring to know the components inside are fully protected. The size is just right for smaller projects without being bulky, but if you’re working with larger setups, you might need to go for a bigger option. Installing everything was straightforward, and the box is easy to work with thanks to its solid design. This enclosure is a practical, cost-effective solution for anyone needing to keep their electronics safe from the elements. I’d definitely recommend it for small-scale projects where reliability is key.

Really useful small plastic boxes for electronics projects they are made from ABS plastic or similar which is easy to drill or even saw (with a small hacksaw) if need be. The moulding is good quality with little or no flash and they have the familiar "mounting holes and lid screws outside the seal" arrangement so that waterproofing should be good. A soft rubber gasket strip and screws are provided. The screws go into threaded metal inserts that are moulded in, so repeated access would not wear or strip them. Some shallow mounting lugs are also moulded in, they were almost the right spacing for my use but a small metal plate could be used if not. Altogether a good quality neat little enclosure for projects or any other use. You could say, "industrial standard".

Great and robust little boxes for all the ad hoc little devices that one will ultimately make. They are supposed to be rain proof but I can say nothing on that front as I have not used them in the rain. The weather proofing strip comes separate to the box but is easy to fit if one wishes to use it.

Replacing the electrics in a large motorhome and am using these all over the place - perfect size to hold a 10 way fuse box and earth bus bar. Not brittle and easy to drill cable cutouts and mount. Haven't tested the IP rating as all boxes are either in the garage, habitation area or lockers and not subject to the elements. Comes with a seal which looks like it may be a bit fidly to locate if you did use it. Works for me and seems good value but haven't looked to see if I could save a pound or two with an alternative.

Right size, foam stripping is nice for weatherproofing. One box arrived with one screw in one hole, and 4 loose inside, the other had no screws at all.
