Works well, I found oven chips took much longer to cook on a flat tray and therefore smaller ones got too crispy, using this mesh tray they are just right, also useful for other foods such as bacon and the reverse as it enables me to cook crispy bacon. Recommend

Well it works, I have a stupid oven that doesn't cook things very well, it's taken an hour to cook chips at 220c. This definitely speeds up crisping time. Sadly one of the handles has already broken off but otherwise it does the job!

I've used this to make home made fries so far and it worked pretty well but you can't load it up like it shows in the photo obviously. The good parts are that if you put your home made chips down in a single layer and make they do come out nice. The bits worth considering are the size, it's not huge so depending on what you're making it and how many you've feeding it may not be adequate. It's also a bit fiddly to clean, if you were to actually use it to cook fish like it shows in the photos I imagine it would be a huge mess because the grate it quite fine. I picked this up to make a single portion of home made fries and it's good for that but I question how useful it would be for other things.

Just what I was looking for. Previously we used a floppy mesh square with metal staples in the corners. Sometimes if you touched the staples removing the mesh and contents from oven, you could burn your fingers. This mesh tray is strong and keeps the contents from falling off. The solid tray below keeps drips and fat from dropping onto base of oven, and it can double as a baking try for cake or other foodstuffs. Very happy with this item and folk I know will probably order it too. Quick delivery also. 5 stars easily.
