This block works like a charm! I was super skeptical, but as soon as I started scrubbing the grill, I realized cleaning was going to be a breeze. It stripped years worth of grease and burnt on residues. We inherited an old ass grill that looked like it had never been cleaned, and no amount of scrubbing with a wire brush would clean it - but this block scrubbed with little effort! Whatever the material is, I hope it's safe to flush down the drain cause I did the scrubbing in the sink. I was able to clean the small grill with half a block, so these things wear down fairly quickly. But I think that with regular light cleaning, the rest of the block s should last longer. 10/10 would recommend!

Just purchased as a replacement for a store bought similar item. If this works as well as my store bought version, this is a very good deal for the price. If you’ve never used these to clean a grill, then you should try them out. I prefer these to a wire brush because I believe they clean better, faster, and with less effort when compared to a wire brush. The blocks just break down into dust rather than potentially pieces of wire. Once the grill grates are clean (and I typically use this on a grill while it is getting hot) I follow up with a wet rag a couple of times to take all of the dust off before cooking. My only issue, if there is one, is that for my use of my grill, I go through these blocks fairly quickly and typically only get 2 cleanings per block. If I made efforts to clean as I go while cooking, etc. then I might be able to get 3 but not sure; your usage and results may vary from my experience. Lastly, don’t press too hard or you can break the brick as you get closer to the end of its life.

This is a must have for any grill grates in particular the grill Great grill company, clean them better than anything I used must have for any barbecuing grill. Grates arrived on time in brand new condition and well packaged.

I love these little bricks and will be buying more in the future. Wanted to stay away from grill brushes which can shed metal bristles and are very dangerous if ingested. They clean our stainless steel grate easily. There is a slight dusty residue left behind, but it easily rinses off.

Use on Blackstone for cleaning

This works very well for cleaning grills, but don't do it while it's installed. This will shred into dust as you remove buildup from your grill, and it will take a lot of effort to get it all cleaned up. The block is harder thank the carbon build-up, but softer than the grill.

I've read reviews that say these wear down quickly. I can believe that if it's the only tool you're using to clean your grill. I've found that they work really well if used in combination with a brush, a sponge, and dishwashing detergent. These bricks are great for scrubbing off baked-on crud, AFTER you've scrubbed with the brush and sponge. So far, I've used only one brick out of the pack of four for cleaning a stainless steel grille, and it looks like it will last through several more cleanings.
