I bought this harness in size medium for my 10 pound mini dachshund puppy and it fits well. It is a little bit loose around the neck area but she'll grow into it. Her chest is around 14inches and her neck is 9.5inches. Since the velcro part is adjustable, I can put the harness over her sweater and her jacket.I tried many other harnesses before deciding that this one is the easiest one to use, and the most comfortable for my pup. The other harnesses were very hard to close/open the clasp and difficult to put on my dog since it had to go over her head.Some other harnesses I used seemed to choke my dog or hurt her throat when she pulled on the leash but this one does not seem to hurt her at all. If you are worried about your dog being able to escape the harness, as long as you get the right size, it shouldn't be a problem. However, if the harness is a little loose, your dog may be able to back out of the harness.I don't think I am going to ever use a different harness again! I have been using this harness for about 3 months now and it has gotten a bit dirty but it is still holding up very well and the velcro has not worn out at all. I definitely recommend this harness for puppies and dachshunds. It is a little more expensive than some other harnesses found on amazon but it is definitely worth it.

After reading reviews for so many brands and types of harnesses, we decided to get this for my extremely fussy cat. She is 3.5kg/7.7lb and we got her a small size. It fits comfortably with a little extra space. The material is soft and well ventilated, excellent for warm weather. The velcro is large and secures the body well. The clasp at the back of the neck is also well positioned so her fur doesn't get caught. The pink color looks cheerful and pretty, perfect for our princess! :)

I used to like these harnesses but have 2 serious complaints that rule out buying from this seller. First I received 3 wrong size and had to pay separate postage to return each. This was not my fault and I was not told either at sale or return that I had to pay postage. This makes buying anything at Amazon more of a risky ordeal these days. As more items are shipped incorrectly I am finding that the postage on some items is too high to bother. Second and this is the more serious safety issue of the harness is that the same size may now be cut too big or material stretches because the medium I have been buying fell off my dog this week. Fortunately it was in the house and I was in the next room. He is a good dog and was sitting there waiting for me to come put it back on him. If this happened while out crossing the street or while holding him by the leash and harness at the street corner while traffic went speeding by, it could have been a tragedy. My dog has worn the harnesses since he was 10 weeks and never pulls at it or tries to remove it. He sits readily while I put t on him. It appears the fabric simply stretched or the Velcro is not holding right but it is a definite safety issue. The buckle was still latched and it just fell off. I noticed the brand new one I put on him right away is cut differently so that the Velcro seems not to overlap properly. I don't really know what caused this but the Velcro seems to be the problem along with fabric that now stretches. The size small is much too small so he's wearing the same size for the entire year and always changed frequently.

It is so hard to find a body harness for small dogs, I was so happy to find this harness! My dog is about 7lbs a chihuahua and terrier mix. She is tiny, and it was hard to find something that would fit her. I love that they carry small sizes! We originally bought a small size, but she grew a little and put on little more weight, and during the winter when her fur coat gets thicker it seemed a bit snug. So we bought another medium size for her. I think shes in between sizes because the medium size is a tad bit looser than I wanted it to be. So we put her in the small one during the summer after a shave, and in the medium one during the winter! Be sure to measure your dog before buying, because these are true to the size on their size chart! Overall the harness is good quality, the velcro is strong and all the parts are holding up for more than 3 years now. One thing though, like most of the harnesses I’ve tried, this might slip off if your dog pulls themselves backward from it. Usually doesn’t happen because dogs pull forward really, but sometimes when we get into awkward positions and my dog pulls back she can slip out. But I haven’t seen a harness yet that is 100percent escape proof. This one seems comfy for my dog, and keeps her from straining herself too much and overall is great.

Finally! After trying numerous harnesses at various pet stores . . .all of which she slid out of because they were loose fitting, I finally found the perfect fitting harness for my miniature dachshund. She has a size 10 inch neck and weighs 10 or 11 pounds. I bought the Medium size as previously recommended by a customer who also made a posting. It is snug fitting so my little Houdini can not get out of it or chew it. There are no any annoying buckles on her chest or sides like other harnesses. The large clasp on the top is easy to use as well as the large piece of Velcro. No chewing or complaints from my dog! It deserves 6 stars!

The media could not be loaded.  There was a back and forth when I had to exchange size but I got the exchanged product in the end after weeks of waiting.The harness is much smaller than you might imagine and it’s not adjustable so be sure to measure your dog.To give an idea of sizing, my jack russell terrier is about the size of a regular cat and she needed XL. She is smaller than the average jack russell (5.5kg). I originally got L size and I would say L would be a good size for a chihuahua.

Lovely made harness I was sceptical of what size to get my 10 week miniature Dachshund as he is tiny! while reading plenty reviews I went by his weight which is 2.1kg and to my disappointment it’s far too big I can get my hand in even with the straps altered but I’m still going to keep it for when he eventually grows into it ! But awaiting a Xs tomorrow as it’s his first ever outing he will look very smart I’m sure!

It was good value. It’s soft and sturdy but I have a problem getting harnesses to fit my mini daxi. Saw a review that the large fitted their mini daxi and medium too small so I bought the large .It drowns her! So they must have a big mini sausage as mine would need the medium.But if the size right it’s a nice thing

We had an overhead harness which was difficult to put on an inquisitive puppy who tried to chew everything. However, This step-through version was perfect! Easy to put on and fasten up. Comfortable padding with two clips and Velcro fastener on the back make this feel safe and sturdy. Happy.

I absolutely love everything about this harness!! No other soft harnesses in local pet shops go anywhere near as small as this one does! I measured my pup to find out his chest measurements and found out he was XXS. Puppia have there own sizes so XXS in any other brand will likely be way too big. I’m looking at my next size up now. So easy to put on too!
