I purchased this rug during my "quest" for a thin rug that would fit under my bathroom door. The gap between my bathroom door and the floor is very small. So, I wanted to buy a thin rug that would cover a somewhat cold bathroom floor and let the bathroom door open/close easily. This rug fulfilled that purpose purrfectly. The last word in the previous sentence is misspelled intentionally. For some reason, my cats who are usually touch-and-feel picky about surfaces liked the surface of this rug. They do not mind stepping on it and, to show their greatest approval, they use it as a scratch surface. Surprisingly enough, the rug has not shown any signs that it has been occasionally scratched for the past two months. So, it is thin (check) and sturdy (check). I purchased a dark blue pattern that matches the color scheme of my bathroom well. The back surface of the rug is rubbery, which does not allow this rug to slip.All is well about this rug except its slightly raised pattern. Unlike my cats, I would prefer to walk on a smooth surface. However, since I do not walk on the rug continuously, I decide to tolerate this factor.Overall, it is a good buy.

We have a very tight threshold at the front door, and this rug is perfect!! It is very soft, does not slip out of position, and does not catch when opening the door. Other rugs advertised as low pile did not work…..this one is perfect!!

I needed an ULTRA thin mat for this older house we bought with really close to the floor doors. I bought several that claimed to be super thin but either weren't or were too flimsy for actual daily use. This is neither! They ARE thin (thin enough to swing my doors freely over) but VERY durable! I was so impressed with the first one I ordered I bought 3 more! All 4 mats are used daily, several times a day actually, and 1 is in front of the doggie door. I have 3 large dogs that go in & out constantly. The mat has held up beautifully! DEFINITELY recommend!!

high quality, durable, expensive but worth it. use for mudroom door, put two together for area coming in. Thin enough that the door can open easily. Solid rubber, highly recommend!!!!!!

Works perfect for my back entryway, as there's almost no clearance/room to put a thick rug/mat. Stays in place pretty good (moves when I vacuum it). 6 months and still looks good.

Good for doorways, it’s so thin it doesn’t get caught under the door when opening or closing. Use to wipe shoes on, not standing-no padding at all.

Just added the doormat/rug for the landing. Bought from Matcha Outlet. Arrived quickly. Well packaged for shipping. Flattened out instantly (no curl) and same quality as stair treads. Here's my review of those: Great for protecting stairs & providing grip! Really, if that is all you're looking for, these will do the trick. We just painted an outdoor staircase white and wanted something to keep the stairs and landing from getting marked up. These are perfect! Thin, but not delicate. Wide enough for good coverage. And pretty to boot! (We got the cappuccino "comma" swirl ones - Design #3. This color/design combo seemed - and is - best to hide the dirt.) I'll paraphrase another reviewer as it's the best description: These really are made of what seems to be the same material as those rubbery, bendy, flexible mouse pads for a computer mouse. The backing "sticks" like a mouse pad does - good enough to grip where you don't worry they'll slip, but not so sticky that they're hard to move around and adjust placement. The tan parts on top almost feel like felt, though - nice and soft. The black parts are sort of "recessed" and are the rubbery material. Very easy to clean -we've just been hosing them off and laying on patio chair arms to dry. Quick drying. The only thing I don't know yet is how they'll last since we've only had them about a month so far. But honestly, I don't know that I really care. We just ordered the matching doormat/rug for the landing. If they wear out, we'll probably just order new ones since we like them so much and they match our white/tan patio furniture.

It’s nice to have a thin option like this. Attractive print. Stays in place fairly well. Not easy to vacuum as it gets sucked up pretty easily. It is as described.
