Excellent classic for anyone studying criminal justice or in law enforcement. Examines scholarly artickes that are considered 'classics' in this field of study. The book covers a lot of topics in law enforcement such as policing strategies, community policing, police use of force, and many issues important for students in criminal justice--this is used in graduate studies & is interesting for everyone else. The author explains the articles & covers issues currently in the media that people are curious about--the book could have been written today.

Interesting views, yet it's so dated I doubted much of the information provided. It's more useful for the author commentary.

This is a great product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who was interested in purchasing it. Totally awesome.

Terrible! Bought book for college to save money. Book was at a good price, however it ended up having water damage.

It was okay - the professor only assigned ONE reading out of a THOUSAND they had in it. . .It was a good read though!
