How to Win Friends and Influence People for Teen Girls Paperback – June 2, 2005

I used this book for an eighth-grade girls' book club, and it turned out to be quite an insightful adventure! We read one chapter per week and then came together to discuss it. The book was easy to read, filled with fantastic tips and concepts, and served as an excellent conversation starter. After just two weeks, I found myself doing very little because the girls were eager to share their interpretations of the material, what they had tried, and the challenges they encountered. Tip - We put sticky notes inside the front and back cover of each book so students could mark the parts that they wanted to discuss when we met as a group.

When I purchased this book I had my daughter in mind but after I received it I read it myself. What great value and respect that I have fr this writer. Please give this book to any teenager. Fun and very descriptive and very understanding and fun to read. Your teen will finally start understanding whom they are and start putting together what we as parents have instilled in them and can now start putting their life together to becoming AMAZING AND KNOW THEIR WORTH. LOVE THIS BOOK. Great gifts to any teenager and adult.

My daughter started an All Girls private middle school this year. Some of the girls are catty and formed their own exclusive cliques (since they've been with each other since Kindegarten), my daughter was definitely the new girl in the class. The school policies are much more strict and demanding than the school my daughter transferred from. So I sought out a vehicle that would not only allow her to adjust in any situation, but allow her to thrive and soar in any environment. This is definitely the book to accomplish social success. What is most amazing, is that the book really teaches how to focus on the greater good of a situation...but the best secret is....just when the reader (my tween daughter) thinks she has found the tool to make positive things happen through the workings of others...she is the one that is actually changing for the better. She has a brighter and positive outlook on life and any situation. Now she doesn't look at certain things as a problem...she see's them as a "challenge" that she has to figure out how to make better. Oh did I mention we are only half way through the book....AWESOME.

Parents grab your sharpie and read it first. Maybe I'm too old school minded. I feel that some content is more for 18+ rather than for my 13 year old teen daughter that's starting high school in 2 months. Had to block out a few words here and there throughout the book. Found the ending of chapter 4 in particular very inappropriate that I blocked out an entire paragraph and ripped out the last page. Don't appreciate my daughter reading that sex is "supposed to be fun" and to "have a good time" while doing it.Other than that, it does offer great advice on how to communicate better with relatable examples. Older women might even benefit from reading this book if they work in a women dominant workplace full of drama and gossip.Would have rated 5 stars if it didn't have relationship and sexual advice.

This book gives excellent advice, even for adults! It explains why each of the suggestions is important and gives short example scenarios so the reader can imagine the advice in action. I plan to give this book to my 15 year old granddaughter and strongly encourage her to read. As a teen, I could have greatly benefitted from having what I kinda knew spelled out and explained like this so that I could have a clear plan of action for success with people.

I'm in my freakin' 20s and this book is awesome! I have read the original and it really didn't make much of an impact on me, but this book had real life situations I can relate to (and still deal with) that made me realize things about myself the really need to be changed ASAP. This book is amazing. If you want to learn how to be a BETTER PERSON, read this book and practice what you read! I wish I had this book when I was growing up. It would have laid a great foundation for me to be an even better leader, student, and business woman.

I bought this book for my daughter since moved to a new state in the middle of the school year (I also have the adult version) and she loves it hasn’t put it down since !

The content is great and aligns well with the original, HOWEVER, chapter 4 is waaaaaayyyy too liberal and casual about sex, even for post-modern thought. As a conservative parent, I literally taped these pages together to prevent my daughter from reading them.

My teenage girls liked this book

À mon avis honnête, plusieurs principes de ce livre sont répétés autour du livre. Je ne vois pas cela comme un inconvénient, car la répétition est la clé de l'apprentissage. Je pensais que plusieurs des principes expliqués dans le livre sont du bon sens, mais j'ai trouvé qu'il pouvait être facile pour une personne de réagir rapidement aux conflits. Ce livre m'a appris l'importance de garder le contrôle et combien il est bénéfique de contrôler nos comportements et d'agir au service des autres. Les exemples décrits dans le livre ont facilité la compréhension des concepts enseignés par Dale. Je vous recommande ce livre si vous souhaitez améliorer vos compétences avec les gens. Ce livre est particulièrement utile pour ceux qui travaillent sur leurs affaires et leurs relations étroites.
