My, no 6 yr old, loves this. We use this as a night light as he goes to sleep, it is a little bright, but the fun colors are cool. We typically only have the tower/flashlight handle portion one, not usually the base. The charge lasts a long time. We turn it on and it will stay on for about 20 or so minutes each night before we turn it off and we only charge it once every other week or so. My 3 yr old daughter wants one. I love it as is, but would love it more if you could get it to hold any color, not just go to blue if you didn't want the fade in and out of other colors. An auto shut-off would be a great option as well after 20 or 30 minutes (this may have it and I may have missed it in the documentation and use, but as we use it, it does not appear to have one).

I would have loved it were it actually useful as a bedside reading lamp (which is why I bought it initially). I returned it. The company was very nice and responsive to my concerns and admitted they may be stretching the description of the many uses it serves by calling it a reading lamp, among other things. It would be a great night light and flashlight...reading lamp, not so much unless you have near night vision already and just need a little boost or mood accents.

The light is most useful as a night light. We use the blue light. Battery lasts almost 2 nights. We added a plug for 120 VAC, but it is easily changed via the supplied USB cable, and a USB port on our laptop. We bought 4 more of these lights as gifts for our grandkids. The multi-color is OK for a night light also. And the white-light flashlight function is very bright. The base coloring changes color while it is plugged in and charging.

This is a super fun way to have a colored night light while also having a built in flash light in case you have to get up in the middle of the night. It is durable, colorful, whimsical and just plain fun. I got it for a gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it.

All I got to say, this light is sexy. I enjoyed it a lot. I kept staring at it because of the light colors and patterns are beautiful. My son like to play with the flashlight and very functional product overall. I'm very happy with the purchase.

My daughters LOVE this thing. It's easy enough for them to operate even at 3 and 4, the colors are the perfect brightness, and the flashlight part is plenty bright for bathroom trips, etc. it's fantastic.

It is a cute lamp and my granddaughter loves it, however it smells like burning chemicals when it is being charged.
