After 5 years of daily use my Cuckoo P1009S rice cooker started sounding less like a pressure cooker because steam was making it way out of the lid and was leaking water over the sides. After some research we discovered this rubber seal needed replacing. It takes some muscle to install since it is a nice new gasket so you HAVE to make sure it is snapped in all the way (to the person who said their lid wouldn't close, it's definitely not in all the way or you got the wrong size). Now it sounds like a pressure cooker again and no more leaks!! So much better than buying a new rice cooker.

I have been using the CMC-QSB501S model for over 3 years. I replaced the new rubber packing because it started to leak when using the cooking mode. I had to buy a new one, but it was not difficult to replace the rubber packing and it works like new again. Unfortunately, the replacement instructions are only in Korean, so I had to use a translator. Since the product is sold on Amazon in the U.S., it would be nice to have a separate English manual printed and included.

Awesome product. I had to return the wrong product is ordered and bought the right one. Only reason i gave 4 star is seller need to post correct information for product it fits. Other than that my rice cooker works perfect. No more half way cooked rice.

Have model HW1087F, working flawlessly since 2013 until a month ago. During cooking some steam leakage around the lid. After a few more weeks, rice would develop unusual smell during cooking and the smell got stronger after a day while in WARM mode. Ordered this lid gasket, cleaned rice cooker per instructions in manual and replaced the lid gasket. Now cooks white rice perfectly, no more smell, and the cooked rice lasts for days in WARM mode. Can feel the new gasket makes a better seal when lid is closed and no more steam leakage around lid. Gasket was easy to replace, just follow instructions in manual and on gasket packaging. For $16, gasket is very reasonably priced.

The CUCKOO CCP-DH10 Rubber Packing is a solid option for those looking to replace the packing in rice cooker. It fits reasonably well and does its job of sealing to maintain pressure during cooking. However, the rubber material feels a bit less durable than I expected—it hasn’t lasted the same as the original packing and has shown wear in less than a year. While it gets the job done for short period of time, I hope for a better fit and more robust material in the long run."

Model: Cuckoo CRP-HN1059F Description: 10 cup pressure rice cooker My CAD$400 seal is slow leaking in 2019 (~ 5 yr old), so need to find new seal. Found that I can only buy it from Cuckoo with few choices of seal. No clear indication which seal is compatible as this model is > 15 yr old, I guess. It was a challenge to list down all the rice cooker size Cuckoo sell for last 10 yr, and trying to figure out their seal's product code means based on various shape of the rice cooker, and seal picture. Next, they have 2 diff seal design, with older seal called "single-layer" and newer called "double-layer" seal. Let me provides their product model decoding table below: For example, CPP-DH10 & CPP-10: CPP - rice cooker seal ring 10 - cup size, 6 cup is 6, 8 cup is 8, 10 cup is 10 DH - double layer model has extra DH product code. Single layer doesn't has "DH" and thinner Full decode for CPP-DH10 - 10-cup double layer rick cooker seal Full decode for CPP-10 - 10-cup single layer rick cooker seal My 15 yr old model uses double-layer by looking at its picture CCP-DH10 is same as CCP-10, so that is another challenge that I solved. The design of CCP-10 looks a little bit different than mine, luckily I visited Cuckoo Toronto repair shop in Thornhill, and the store stuff confirmed that for 10-cup rice cooker, there are only 2 models. New design is 100% compatible with old rice cooker model for last 50+ years. So my CRP-HN1059F 10-cup rice cooker that has thick seal uses CCP-DH10, not CCP-10. Some vendors confused by posting wrong model, and I have to be careful by checking its picture. Finally, bought the seal from Amazon rather than Cuckoo authorize repair shop, as it is cheaper. Compared original and replacement seal, a little design different, but fitting is good. Rick cooker doesn't leak pressure at all on first attempt. It has been ~ 3 yr (since 2019) and new seal still work. This top end Korean 10-cup electrical inductive pressure cooker impressed me! Continue to provides part of 15 yr old model, and keeping up their good reputation with quality part (for top end). Recommend to buy their rice cooker.

When I ordered this item I paid $40.98. I thought this price was what I get pay for. It is working good now. However, when I received this item I paid courier $22.24 more. $4.92 for GST/PST on imported, $11.81 for processing fee, $5.51 for transaction fee. Finally, I paid total $63.22. I think it's too expensive.
