Mr. Bar-B-Q 18-Piece Tool set with Case

These are decent tools but the construction of the case is very cheap. We bought them as a gift. The first set arrived with a broken case so we had to return it and ask for a replacement. The second set was intact but still made of cheap paint plastic (not metal) around the handles. We bought this set over some others because it included skewers rather than steak knives or other implements that were not needed. The recipient is satisfied with the quality of the tools themselves but it would be nice if the whole presentation was higher quality.

I was skeptical. Most tool "sets" come with small, flimsy, tools that are barely worth the price of the box they come in. But the spatula, tongs, and brush in this tool set are worth the price alone. They are big and shiny and work. I like how the handles are stainless steel, but built in a way that doesn't transfer the heat.Bonuses: Multi-use spatula also includes bottle opener in handle. (because it's bad luck to grill without beer) Silicone brush is washable without getting nasty from marinade.Minuses: The knife arrived pretty dull, but nothing a cheap sharpener couldn't fix. The over-sized fork is actually pretty nice, but we all know you are not supposed to poke your food while grilling.Eh: The skewers and corn holders and nice, but nothing exciting.Overall: Get this tool set!

I purchased the Mr. BBQ grilling tool set to give as a Father's Day gift. After reading other reviews for this item, I was a little worried about the quality of the case, but the tools are very sturdy, and the case does not look cheap. The first time my son picked up the case of BBQ tools, the handle fell off. It was not strong enough for the very heavy tool set. The tools, however, seem to be of good quality. Being a Christmas present, this was disappointing.

I got this for my father for Fathers Day and when he opened, one of the handles of the skewers was already broken off. We used them for the 4th of July for the first time and alllll of the skewers handles just fell apart. All of the handles are built the same way, so they all fell apart as soon as they went anywhere near heat.Also, the corn holders all fell apart IN the corn. Someone could have stabbed their mouth on it! We will be returning this ASAP for all of our money back, and probably never buying anything again from Mr. BBQ.

I got his for my boyfriend because he had one BBQ tool. He BBQ's a lot, however the set is so nice he hasn't used it? All of the tools are VERY well built and the case is very sturdy and match the tools perfectly! The handles are very sturdy and the set has everything that you could plus more to BBQ! The set also includes corn on the cob holders which I thought was a nice addition. This set is well worth the price and sure to last a long time!

The lower rating is for the very slow service. The product is nice; it was a gift, but wasn't sure it wasn't going to arrive in time. As it was, it was late for Christmas. Not good!
