Garnier Skin Renew Clinical Dark Spot Corrector - 1.7 Fluid Ounces - 2 Pack

This product is amazing! I am paying dearly now for all the sun worshipping I did in my (not-too-distant) youth. It's only been about 3 years or so that these spots began to appear on my face. I've always had a smattering of freckles - what I called a raccoon's mask: across my upper cheeks and bridge of my nose. But these were different. Larger. Darker. Definitely not cute. This is what actually started me wearing foundation more regularly. In my eyes, that only made it worse. No amount of coverage could conceal them. So I started trying different creams and lotions that claimed to lighten and even do away with these. I can't say I tried them all - I do live on a budget after all - but I tried quite a few. Nothing! I gave this one a shot probably about a year or so ago and was instantly hooked. I was absolutely amazed at how well it worked. And quickly. I began to see results right away. The spots and areas of sun damage that were faint to begin with are now gone. Or so light you would need OR lighting and a magnifying glass to see them. The darker spots and areas faded to a point where foundation - just a normal amount - will conceal them. Even better, I once again feel comfortable walking around without foundation! I have one very dark spot on the lower right side of my face which, of course, I felt like the whole world zeroed in on (as I did). Kind of like when you have a zit that feels like a mountain but is little more than a barely noticeable bump. Even that one has faded to the point where I no longer feel self conscious about it. Garnier also puts out a dark spot overnight peel that is supposed to enhance this product but I didn't find it did any more than just using this one alone.

So... after this purchase and one previous purchase of this product (total of 4 tubes used over the course of about 8 months...) My final conclusion... This product does not work. No visual change in facial scaring or hyperpigmentation

Love the price of the duo set on Amazon! For the price of 2 on Amazon - you're paying for 1 at the drugstore.I bought this for my 72 year old mother who has been complaining about age spots. She has used this consistently day and night for about 4 months and seeing noticeable changes. Her age spots on her cheeks are now gone/diminished and her complexion is looking a lot more youthful. I will say that she has also started a daily green smoothie regimen (kale, spinach, turmeric, apple, banana, etc.) with her NutriBullet system along with a 20 minute morning walk. This combination seems to be doing the trick and getting her overall health, youth and glow back in tip top shape! Reporting as a happy daughter :)

I will say right off this product did not work for me. I religiously and liberally placed the Skin Renew DarkSpot Corrector on affected areas of my face and hands twice a day as directed for 8 weeks. I do notwork in the sun or was exposed to sunlight for any appreciable time so I was not working against theproduct's process. I mention it because the directions recommend using their sun protection to helpprevent future discoloration.The spots did not get any lighter, nor did they get any darker. The product did not harm me in any waynor cause any problems with fabrics I came into contact with throughout the day. I work indoors yearround, an air conditioned office, so perspiration was not an issue either. There was only a slight overtscent to the product and not at all overwhelming..I will mention another Garnier product used for the same issue, age spots, and with positive results. Ican recommend “ Garnier Skin Renew Clinical Dark Spot Overnight Peel, 1.6 Fluid Ounce ”.The 'Overnight Peel' is a glycolic Vitamin C complex peel that “speeds exfoliation to fade dark spots, evenskin tone...”. It seemed to work and faded those spots on my hands and face. They didn't go away totallybut did fade substantially. One caveat is that the 'Overnight Peel' contains alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) andcan increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun including sunburn. The manufacturer does not recommendexposing your skin to the sun for after a week of use.If you would like to compare ingredients between the two products they are listed on each of their Amazonweb pages. They both share some of the same ingredients as well.Two Stars for the “Dark Spot Corrector” not working at all and b/c I was not harmed during myexercise in youth reclamation. Well, back to the “Overnight Peel”.

I've use this product in the past and it worked wonders. Happy I was able to purchase a two-pack this time.

I have been using this product for a little over a week. I can already see significant lightening of the dark spots. It's not greasy. I use it every morning. Great product. Great price.

Definitely helps dark spots although they do not disappear completely. Pleasant scent. Moisturizing. Turns brown when exposed to air. No permanent stains.
