This is an unbelievable value. You get TWO for a very low price. I've been using mine for some time now, and it works just fine. It suppose is maybe starting to get a little dull, making some really small pills "shatter" (instead of cut) just a little bit. But I haven't even started using the 2nd cutter; I'll switch to it when the time comes. This was a good purchase.

I ordered and received the pill splitter but the package only contained one splitter instead of the two as advertised. I tried the splitter and it worked great. But I should have received two according to the information given.

I have never needed one of these before; I wasn’t sure what to expect. My hands were getting too sore to continue breaking my current medication in half when my Dr reduced the dose. I couldn’t afford to waste the money from a barely used bottle of 90 pills, so I bought this economically priced option. It works so much better and faster than I could—it’s amazing. I had no idea. It is so easy to use, requires only mild to moderate pressure, depending on the size of the pill. Mine are huge footballs, and some tiny little ones. This device handles them both with ease. Just open, align the pill’s score mark with the razor blade, slide in as far as it will go into the “V” and press. It only does one pill at a time for accuracy. By the way, I was told that if your pill does not have a score line, it wasn’t intended to be split. It is not made with an equal amount of active ingredient in each half. But you may only need to average over 2 days. Some med’s are OK that way. ONE CAUTION: The edge of the razor is exposed when open. Be sure to keep this away from curious little ones’ fingers. They could do serious damage in a flash.

For the items themselves, I am leaving 5-stars. But for the quality control of the company, I would take off 2.5 stars if I could. Every time I order, 1 out of 2 of the pill splitters has an issue. I’ve ordered 3 times now. Seeing as this 3rd time only had 1 pill splitter that was unused, I will have to order again to get one more unused one to have as a back up. Between the dust catcher not staying on, to the lids taking too much strength to open, to the mystery pill dust and glue on a “new” piece, the inconsistencies are laughable. But when you get one that works, it works. For some reason, this one has been my favorite. It’s now my dad’s favorite as well. Which is why I need the back up. Good luck, fellow consumer. You’ll need it.

Well made comes in handy

I wanted a pill cutter for very small pills which do not have the half marker. This concept incidentally came to my knowledge when googled. It's nice and you get two cutters.

Ease of handling and functionality

I know it’s cheap but it isn’t worth it to wait for a week and get such. The blade is dull and it doesn’t even cut the tab in half. In such a small and precise tablet, even some powder coming from cutting with this is crucial. I would suggest to make the blade sharper. Others are okay price wise
