Running Toward Danger: Real Life Scouting Action Stories of Heroism, Valor & Guts Hardcover – November 16, 2015

The information and stories are compelling. I couldn't read this too long at a sitting because it is intense to read of so many boys who died while performing heroic acts which is why safety is so strongly emphasized in the BSA. It was great to have them at my fingertips. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is that the layout and multiple typefaces made it hard to read the material. The cover art on the front and the art at the beginning of the chapters is good. It's just the layout.

I am really enjoying this book. I particularly like the Scouting history, which I did not expect when I purchased the book. I especially like the layout, which I find engaging and aids in readability.

Interesting book but it's not well organized and is a bit of a letdown. The typography has as much as four typefaces on each page of different sizes and it's really hard to read. Stories are good and adequately researched but disjointed. It could be great with a new version.

Loved the book hated the print. Print changes sizes and format sometimes on same page. I enjoyed the book other wise.

Outstanding and long overdue book on the history and stories of scouts and adult scouters who perform feats of extreme heroism and valor at considerable or extreme risk to their own life.

Great book, absolutely horrible layout. Difficult to read and certainly took away from the book.

Wow,My wife and I are huge history buffs and noticed this book from the cover design. The description of the book was a big reason to purchase the book because I had not heard very much about these awards. I received it yesterday and have not been able to put it down, this is a beautiful book with a great design that works with the stories. These stories are amazing, especially when you realize that it is young boys doing these amazing things. Phenomenal!
