First impressions & update
Listen. I know you're here to see how it worked in the long run because none of these stinking reviews mention that. But I am writing this review to tell you what I didn't know about the product beforehand.Maybe you're better than me and read the entire description or the entire user manual. Whatever. Lol.The user manual is VERY terribly translated. The other reviews got that right. The one thing they don't tell you about that in particular is that the author did not write ANYTHING to make sense and after one page of reading it I already read an awful slur. That was enough for me I guess and I just threw it down and after a few youtube videos, got to work.I hate shaving. Hate it with a fiery burning passion. To no one's surprise I'm sure, I broke that cheap as hell razor after one use. By accident, mind you.I would like to make sure you know first I am also hairy. I have a lot of hair. Big porey legs. Extremely fair and almost-black brown hair.I picked this IPL machine out of so many others not based at all on price, but on reviews. That's why I want to add my two cents.Okay, so down to my first impressions. It has a fan that whirs from a vent on the side. You have to be using this machine only when it is plugged in, and the cord is somewhat short. It has five levels you control using the power button and I forgot that upon getting it and using it on my full legs at level one. It has the huge side button you press to flash your skin with the intense light. I didn't realize this, but each time you press the button it only uses up ONE flash. This may change with the levels of intensity but I didn't check. But right now I dont think it did change and it was just one. My device came preloaded with about 500,250 flashes. That means I could hit that button 500,000 times. That's so much! By the end of the first session I used up about that 250. So this thing should hopefully last forever. One thing I like about this machine is that even though I didn't realize I couldn't go one flash to the next before waiting a few seconds for it to charge up a bit, I realized the machine makes it easy to know when it is done charging up. (Like 5-7 seconds). It flashes the screen and then you know once that happens that you can move on.By the way, with my body's skin/hair color scheme it did not hurt at all. Just was hot for a second afterward, sometimes. There was one flash near my bikini line that stung a lot.Okay, update. Used it twice so far and have some more thoughts. Feel free to get some pasta from your fridge to tide you over for this oncoming wave of knowledge lmao.Maybe get an extension cord because the cord is too short it's annoying. Twice this session it got either unplugged and immediately turned off midway or fell in a freak cord-is-too-short accident. 🙄 love to hate this machine but all in all me using it at level 5 power once all over my body and waiting for my hair to grow in I can tell by the farm field-like rows my hair is growing in that one (1) I am not doing that well at this, and/but two (2) it's inhibiting hair growth!! The fact that I paid as little as one session of a small body part for my entire body as many times as I want to go over it is absolutely my favorite thing. But it is also like having a gym membership. In order to get your money's worth you have to dedicate some hours here and there and hope when you're signing up that you'll remember to hate your appearance enough later on to utilize it fully. I did/do. But then again, I'm crazy and I've only used it twice so far.The huge button is kindof annoying sometimes. You're contorting yourself so this might be difficult for people with a lot of back pain. Just go slow and maybe don't let it build up to do all of your laundry in one day, so to speak. Spread out the work and go easy on yourself. You deserve it hahaha. Last bit is most times the fan whisks the hot away very quickly, but other times you move the machine to the next spot and it burns you a bit on the move. The automatic mode I tried out this time and it probably made the whole thing go quicker, yes. It was nice to not need to pay as much attention, and it is also nice to not have to endure pain like waxing or epilating. Epilators are so much louder too.Would I go back and buy it again? Yes. Do I think this is the absolute best thing out there so I wouldn't think twice if this thing got broken and I needed to repurchase? Um, long winded question but I would shop around a bit again just to make sure. I like it a lot. Marriage material? Probs not. Better than all the other types of hair removal? Yes. Even though it makes me shave and I hate shaving. I think it will be worth it soon.Next time I'm going to try shaving as I go so I can be sure of which parts I've completed so far. I think that will be a better plan.

It actually works
It really works. I am very pale and i have dark hair. I know that makes a difference. I use the highest setting. Its been 2 months and i have used it in a way to make a comparison on my leg. I have one strip of hair left on my lower leg. It works great. Still have a few stubborn hairs on my face and it hasn't worked as well in my armpits, but my skin is darker there so...... I use it every 3rd day.

Didnt work. Literally. It was just a 100 fan in the end.
It didnt work when I got it. Meaning, it turns on, the fan whirs but then when you go to do the flashing of the light it never worked. You could try the button 100 times and nothing.
