Amazingly leakproof - UPDATE: not so anymore
SEE UPDATE BELOW---These goggles are so good, they don't leak EVEN when they are old and at the end of their life span! I was so impressed today, I had to come post this review. I was wearing a pair that I've had for almost two years of heavy use in chlorinated water, under the sun, and kept in a very dry gym locker room. As I was ready to get into the pool I noticed that, as it happens to all foam-gasket goggles eventually, the foam was torn. A bit of the foam clung to the goggle, and the rest was peeling apart like a ring. But I decided to give it a try anyway. I made sure to apply extra pressure to secure the goggle to my face through suction (that's how it stays in place). And then I swam. I swam for almost 50 minutes, doing flipturns and not changing a thing about my stroke. And I didn't get a single drop of water inside the goggle. I am seriously impressed. I've been wearing these goggles for over a decade, mostly because they are the only ones I find comfortable for my face type, and because I also find them very leakproof. The foam might not last forever--after all, it is foam, not silicone--but even silicone wears out (dries, shrinks, hardens). And these goggles are so very affordable. I was already a total fan (every time I try a fancier goggle I regret it and go back to this), but today, even more. (I'm still replacing the torn goggles, of course, but I'm glad they served me in my time of need). Please, Speedo, never ever discontinue these.PS. To those who complain of leaks or a bad fit... With goggles, it's all about how well a goggle fits your particular facial features. A goggle that works wonders for some might not for others. You have to try out several, and really the proof is in the swim, not in trying them out dry at the store.UPDATE: I have to agree with the reviewers that say the quality has gone down. My latest pair has leaked from the very start. The pair before that one lasted only a few months. Speedo must have changed something in the material, because I had been using this exact same model for over 15 years and they usually lasted years--YEARS--not months.

The adhesive for the foam doesn't last.
I purchased these goggles for indoor lap swimming. These were the only goggles I could find with a foam gasket instead of silicon. They are listed as "adult" goggles, but the lenses are tiny. I prefer a larger lens that fits outside my eye socket, but I cannot find any with a foam gasket and adjustable nose piece. These goggles fit inside my eyesocket, which I did not like, but at least they did not leak and the foam minimized the discomfort. They fog up completely after only 1 to 2 laps of a 25 yard pool. The foam peeled away from both lenses after only 16 uses. Very disappointing. I have a pair of classic Speedo goggles from the early 1990's with foam gaskets (bigger lenses) that still work. They are dark and mirrored and meant for outdoor swimming, and are not suited for indoor use. I will have to find another solution.

great with a caveat
I was delighted to find these and was waiting to write a stellar review. I have a pair that must be a least ten years old and still great but scratched.so I was amazed to find these again.it is the soft foam lining that makes these uniqueand COMFORTABLE to wear.as others have said the foam does come loose but they are still usable, these new ones arrived with the foam already unstuck alreadyTHE CAVEATit seems Speedo does not make these any more so these are either a knock off or very old stock.hence the PROBLEMthe plastic on the nose piece is hard and nonadjustable.worked and worked and was afraid I was going to break either the plastic or the eye piece.solution was to actually whittle down the 'notched ridge' so the eye piece could slide over a notchthat said still great goggles----- hope they last as long as the first

Very comfortable with foam
After awhile the foam separates, but they still can be used as they cling to the face.

Good for sensitive skin
The bic of goggles, it's the best especially if you have sensitive skin. These goggles may not last as long as other types with rubber seals, but the softness of the foam is worth buying 2 pairs at once. A pair lasts me about 1 1/2 months at 3600 yards per session 5 times a week, but I usually end up losing them before the foam starts losing it's elasticity anyway.

Normally a quality product
I've been using Speedo Sprint goggles almost exclusively for over 25 years. Their no-frills design and quality construction make for a great goggle at a cheap price. However, for this recent order of 2 pairs, the foam gaskets were already torn away from the foam adhered to the lens, so no repair option. Haven't decided if its worth the time to pursue a refund, but for now I'm using a pair of used Speedo Vanquishers which are working well. May be time to switch permanently.

Used to be the best goggles out there
I've been swimming for a while. When I started these goggles were one of a handful and they would last. I bought these from Speedo, over and over again. Then I sold out to the newer ones, and they have never been quite as comfortable as the foam gasket. I decided to go back to these when I saw they were still available but relegated to being outdated. I put them on and they feel just as fabulous. HOWEVER, the quality of the material is not as good. After my first few swims the gasket started to separate from the lenses. The spacer on the bridge is hard and scratches my nose unless I cut it. The band around my head is hard and not supple like it used to be. Wonderful, tried and true and just let the product get overtaken by glamourous versions that suck. SPEEDO, makes these better! Make them they way you used to.
