Works well
I tried a slightly cheaper brand and it was junk. I wasn't expecting much with this one but to my surprise it's a great purchase. I can turn the volume up to maximum as long as the unit isn't close to the microphone. If it's too close it screeches as any unit will do. The webbed waist belt is very very generous so I can wear it low on the hip instead of around the waist and that solves any feedback possibilities. It has a nice plastic buckle. The mic needs to be close to the mouth. The stem is a bit long for me but its bendable so that's not much of an issue. The headset is a comfortable wire and can be worn closer to the back of the head and not mess up my hair. There is a discrepancy between Amazon's description of 50 watts vs the enclosed documentation stating it's 12 watts. Since it is much louder and clearer than the junk one at 12 watts, I believe this unit to be closer to 50w and not 12w. The sound produced is very clear so I'm glad I didn't buy one of the high dollar amplifiers. I cannot speak to it's longevity but everything about it seems quality. Time will tell but so far so good.

Outstanding Waistband Amplifier .. However the Mic that comes with it is CRAP !
I was disappointed with this product when I first started using it.. and considered returning it .. I had turned the volume up all the way .. and my voice still wasn't very loud ..?? However ..after using the AUX for playing music .. It would be VERY loud with the Volume turned up .. ?? Couldn't figure it out ..?? Then a brilliant Idea ... Let's try a different Headset Microphone .. pugged in another mic that I used with a similar product.. & the problem was solved !! The unit works TERRIFIC now !! Very loud vocals.. The Headset Microphone that's included with the AMP .. at lease the one I received with it ... is a piece of CRAP ! I recommend this unit .. But you may need to use a better Headset Microphone !!!

Powerful, portable, great value for money!
Sometimes an item's description seems too good to be true! That's what I first thought when I came across this little guy, I needed something to amplify my voice, and allow me to play music through it too. It needed to be LOUD (otherwise it's pointless). Plus, batteries are a pain - not to mention expensive - so something rechargable would be ideal. This PYLE portable PA system is all of the above. We bought it to help prepare for an outside performance. We needed to be able to direct children, and then play the various music cues too. It's a pain setting up an entire PA for rehearsals - especially when the nearest power outlet is far away - so we bought this. We were able to rehearse without straining our voices, and he music was loud enough for the kids to sing to. Teachers were passing by wondering how the heck we could do all this without any wires or electricity!! So, it's great. It works, and you won't be dissapointed. BUT, here's where you need to be careful: * Feedback (Squealing sound from the speaker) ANY kind of amplification system can feedback - that horrible squealing soiund - and this one does if not handled properly. If the mic is too close to the speaker, it will feedback (squeal) Keep the mic away from the speaker, and it's fine. * Indoor use. If you use this in a hallway, or confined space, the sound from the speaker will bounce of the wall and get picked up by the mic. This creates feedback! Keeping the speaker volume low will eliminate this, (but then that kinda defeats the point) * Use with iPhone/Smartphone. You can hook up a phone to the speaker and play back music through it. However, the unit we have gerenrated enough RFI (radio frequency interference) to cause the phone to skip during playback. We used a simple MP3 player - or even cd player, and the problem went away. All in all, it's a life-saver for anyone needing a portable, powerful PA, at an amazing price.

Works Well But Bulky
At first this product had a tapping sound that wouldn't stop. That went away after not using it for a few days. My complaint about it is that the speaker is very big for a petite person, and so is the waist holder. I bought this for fitness classes, and it's heavy and bulky on my waist and I'm going to have to cut the extra long strap so it's not dangling so far. I'm not sure how it will sound in a class since I haven't used it yet for that, but I know from trying it out at home that it hits that screeching sound easily when I raise the volume too high. So I have to keep it set pretty low to avoid that ear piercing sound, hopefully that low volume will be good enough for classes so everyone can hear. Of course keep it far away from the microphone to avoid that screech, too. I've borrowed other portable mics that were smaller and less bulky. I'd prefer one of those, but since this price was one of the most affordable on Amazon and some of the others run around $100, I will most likely keep this one unless it doesn't work out in classes. Then I'll have to save up and pay more for the smaller one. I do like the perk of the battery charger on this set so you don't have to worry about replacing batteries. The packaging says the charge lasts 6 hours. Overall, I'd prefer a smaller and thinner unit as I've tried in the past, but this seems to work fine for a public lecture or class. Petite people, just be aware it's fairly large and bulky with a strap that leaves a LOT of waist room.

El producto llegó antes de lo indicado, todo debidamente empaquetado y sellado. Muy funcional para hablar en auditorios pequeños tanto interiores y exteriores. Un buen producto en función a su precio.

It lives up to all expectations and more.. be careful if you have it up load and someone is standing right in front of you. It will be much too loud and can actually damage peoples hearing but it will definitely scare them. The mic is directional and you can aim the pick up right at your mouth. Works best when mic is almost touching your lips..It is great for doing speeches at activist protests.. excellent product and beats bull horns..

We used these in a very noisy out door event because customers found it difficult to hear our retail staff. While these may not be the loudest PA systems ever, they are perfect for our needs. They amplified the voice of our staff just enough for customers to easily hear and understand whats being said without feeling they were shouted at. In fact, most customers didn't even notice the speaker. We would place the speaker on the counter between our staff and customer. These little amplifiers even gave our staff more confidence and made the whole sales process more pleasant for everyone. On a full charge, we'd often easily get 8 hours or more out of them... and that's with the volume nearly up full at all times.

It doesn't have anything to attach it to my belt. It can only be put around the shoulder. So a bit limitng.
