If you are up to date with current events you are fully aware that hacking is a great threat to many. In some cases, even your webcam can be used against you without your knowledge. And the Kinect is nothing but a huge webcam of sorts. Not only does it allow the users to automatically apply your profile by reading your face, but it also allows to use skype etc. But you didn't come here for the Kinect rundown you came to know about this simple product.As you can see it is cheap and it doesn't take long to install it. All you have to do is take it out of its box and place it over the portion of the Kinect that contains the camera. Once you have done this it will protect you from on lookers when you are out of the house. To be clear this just avoids people looking in on you, it doesn't avoid people listening in on you.

This is a pretty much straight forward product. I covers the camera lens of the Kinect and makes sure that, in the unlikely but possible even of hacking, no one would be able to see anything from your device. It snaps of easily and stays in place, The fit is near perfect and I placed it on and took it off several times, and it did not damage or scratch the lens or finish of the the Kinect. It might be overkill or even a paranoia device, but at the inexpensive cost of the item, better safe than sorry. I would definitely recommend.

Can't say much about it, other than it looks great on the Kinect. I don't use my Kinect other than having it turn my TV on and off, because for some reason the Xbox One itself can't do that. Anyway, I can verify the color does match the glossy black front of the Kinect exactly.It doesn't have a slider on it, but that's ok. it does cover the camera and it is able to keep the dust off of the camera, so it does help preserve the product and help it last longer.No, i am not one of those people who think the NSA are spying on everyone, although you can never be too careful..

Not exactly impressed with this item. Yes, I enjoy having the privacy and yes, I feel more comfortable knowing no one can spy on my l me through my kinect. I do not enjoy, however, how hard it was to get this thing off once it was on. Also, I wanted to mention that it almost seemed to affect my kinect in a negative way. My kinect seemed to not be able to hear me and would randomly shut off when this protector was on. Whether it was due to the protector or not I cannot say for sure but I can definitely say that since I'm no longer using the protector anymore I've had very little issues with my kinect.

Came on time, and work perfectly to calm crazy momma. I have two boys and Xboxes are in two rooms and I worried people could see. These were a great item to confuse them at Christmas. Easy to pop off to use Kinect and easy to put back on. Came on time and very satisfied with these.

This works as a sleeve that covers the lense of the Kinect. You can still say "Xbox On", and it'll turn the components you've programed your One to turn on. You obviously won't be able to use hand gestures with it on the Kinect. That's all. But if you want to walk naked in front of your Xbox One with Kinect, and fear that someone somewhere is watching, you can buy this for peace of mind....lol

I wish the privacy shield could slide left and right but stay attached to the Kinect. It’s built to pop on and pop off to cover the Kinect lens. It gets the job done!

There isn't a lot to say about this except that it is a form-fitting piece of plastic which slides onto the Kinect and blocks the camera. It was very simple to "install" and blends in with the device. I could have used foil and tape to accomplish the same thing, but this looks nicer. I deducted a star because of the price charged for a simple plastic piece.

The item arrived fairly quickly. It fits the Kinect well and blocks out the camera and all the abilities of the Kinect to see you. Great as a privacy protector!
