It is a great basic unit that appears to be well made. I didn’t want any special features as I have a smart meter that can tell the rate of charging etc soo easy to tell when charging stops and finishes. You simply plug it into the car and it starts charging automatically at a rate that suits the car and the cable being used. The app was slightly fussy to set up but works perfectly now and provides a complete record of all the charging sessions charge delivered, time , cost etc it perfectly meeting my needs. The car app also tells me what the car is doing and time remaining to charge etc so no need to pay for any extra features on the charger. Perfectly suits my needs and looks very neat And tidy on the house wall.

Simple plug and play charger, works as desired as long as your not bothering to manage charging features from the accompanying app. The app is a complete disaster! It's a rough translation from Chinese, has unexplained and none configurable settings due to requiring a password which is not provided (and isn't a default 'admin' similar preset). Despite its poor functionality, I've managed (through mainly guessing) to set up unit costs but cannot control charge times, albeit I've got a flat rate fix unit cost on OVO at the moment so no off peak to manage for yet. There is no way to download charge history data or delete it either so the app starts to get slower as it loads the increasing library of data.But... If your not interested in all that, then, as a 7KW charger... It works just fine.

Decent quality build, I had an electrician install it for me and he didn't have too much trouble, setting up the app was tricky but the Project EV website has all the manuals that are not included in the box. Once connected the App is pretty decent and allows me to see how long the car has charged and what its used/ cost me. Cant see whether it is full of course but the time its charged for gives a rough idea. Would love to check it's full charge rate out but my current car cannot take what it can give and slows the charge input down.

The app never works properly, I can't set my electricity rate so I never know how much I've spent on a charge. The timer rarely works, I've had mornings where it hasn't charged overnight.

Easy to install but I am an electrical contractor, would have liked a rear cable entry so that the cable doesn’t show but the bush next to it covers most of the cable. Not so sure about the app, can someone tell me what it does or what it’s for?

Great bit of tech, I’m a big fan of this EV charge point. It looks fantastic, lovely design and extremely discreet! Perfect for charging my electric vehicle. Would highly recommend 👍

So far my experience has been terrible. I set the device to charge overnight on the 1st day and found out at 7am it had not and then had to charge the car on a DC fast charger on the way to work. Later that evening I went home and checked the device and connected it to a laptop. At first the device was dead, I tapped the front of it came to live. I then plugged it into the car and changed the settings to plug and charge mode. Then I heard a loud bang and the device goes dead with my car plugged in. More worrying no breaker went. I bought the charger through an electrician who installed it. I was impressed with its features and price point. The device is supposed to be CE certified but there is no CE mark on the device and neither the website or customer care have any evidence of it being certified. I will be getting on to my electrician tomorrow and will.be returning it.
