Long story short, I work night shift and need a dark room to actually trick my mind to go to sleep when the sun is completely full and bright. The room I put these curtains in faces the sun during daylight. I will note I hung them quick without a curtain rod. I wanted to 1. save money and 2. I wanted to really minimize the amount of light that could sneak through the edges. Overall the room is blacked out. The only light that comes in is very minimal along the edge. In fact, I tried to take a picture of the room to show the blackout and my camera just gave a black image as you can see.As for energy efficient: These curtains do block some of the heat of the sun from pouring into the room. This room use to be utterly unbearably HOT.Typically, a summer day will be 100+ degrees F. It's still warm up there but not unbearable.I wanted to make sure to write a review as I noticed this style of the black out curtains has minimal review. They are absolutely worth the money. Delivery was fast. I personally don't care if there are wrinkles or not so I can't comment on that other than to say, right of of the package to my window, the wrinkles are minimal. If you need your room blacked out BUY THESE. (And I assure, I am not getting paid for this review. I wish I was LOL but I'm not. )

For all the nightshift or graveyard workers, these curtains were made specifically for us! The first picture shows a panel on the left (blackout curtains from target), compared to the panel on the right (blackout curtains from Amazon made by Nicetown), then both panels from Nicetown hung up side by side in the ALL BLACKED OUT room. I can now sleep in the dark at any hour of any day!

I tried several stores in town, from Lowes to Walmart to Ross, and none of them carried white blackout curtains in the size I needed (84"x52"). Even the ones that were close to the right height and width didn't feel or look good; we wanted something that looked like a linen. These polyester curtains are soft to touch and look great! They block out so much more light than any of the other curtains we tried, and really make it easier to see the TV on the opposite wall during the day. The only light that comes through now comes from the sides, where we don't have the curtain fully making contact with the wall/floor. I tried to adjust my camera settings to get photos that accurately show the amount of light allowed through the sides.

They suit thier purpose in my bedroom. They are very soft but they are not pretty. They do the job of blocking out all light but I would keep them in the bedroom. They are made of chunky fabric and kinda hang the same way. They are hard to describe.

I previously purchased the regular blackout curtains, but they let a lot of light through. After a couple nights of terrible sleep, I found a new curtains - 100% blackout curtains, and they are incredible!The curtains are thick and soft. Even in broad daylight, they make my bedroom completely pitch black and will help improve your sleep. So if you're considering getting blackout curtains, you can't go wrong with these.

I am very pleased with these blackout curtains. I have tried some in the past but they were a joke, and cost about ten dollars more than this set. These curtains block out all light, except for the gaps around the edges of the curtain if you hang them on normal rods which is expected. Not only are they great for blocking light, they noticeably muted the sounds coming through the window which was a nice bonus for me.I had a unique situation with my setup. My window is the only window in the house my cat likes to look out of of, so I have to keep the Venetian blinds up for her to get on the window seal. This meant the black backside of the curtains would be visible from outside and look ugly so I just reversed the curtains so the black side faces the inside. This was fine for me because I really hate the way blackout curtains look. They are all mostly plain and not my style. So I have a better decorative curtain that I hang in front of the blackout curtains and no one is the wiser. And my cat is still happy she still has her perch to monitor everything from.

This is a good two-layer curtain (it has an inner layer of black cloth for more light blockage). I ordered two pair, and both came in good shape, matching color and length. The fabric is heavyweight enough to drape naturally, without any ironing. The curtains themselves are complete blackout, though some light will seep in around the top and bottom depending on the type of curtain rod used.Despite the description saying thermally insulated, I don't think there is any significant R-value added to the window and any energy savings from curtains is likely to be negligible.

Received curtains 1 panel was longer than the other by about an inch. Had to return. Ordered a new set of 84” curtains. They were both the same length but only measured 82”. It’s not true to size. Going to try a third time, but I’m super disappointed with the lack of quality control.

These drapes are awesome!! They are thick and of good quality. They are definitely going to work as a blackout curtain but I only gave it a 1/5 for wrinkle-free. It came full of wrinkles/ creases. I will wash them and see if it helps. I will be very disappointed if I have to iron them too.

Great blackout drapes there is a top gap that lets light in but if hung above the window frame shouldn’t be an issue. I have them on a tension rod inside the window frame so there is a bit of light that comes through. Best “BLACKOUT” drapes I’ve bought.

When these curtains say 100% blackout, they are not kidding around. If blackout is what you are after, these curtains fit the bill.

These curtains are amazing. Bought the white 108 length. They are honestly as good as it gets. Put them in my master bedroom and I’d say they block out 90% of light. Such a great find
