These work well near SpaceX
We camp on the beach for Texas SpaceX launches, but not on their beach as it melts everything. They hold well in the sand.

Works Well on my Tent
I used these in dirt and they seem sturdy. I have only used these once but they stayed in the ground well. Can't speak to their longevity over time. I do prefer them over the basic stakes I have that are straight.

Just what I needed. Disregard the (lazy) comments who say they don't work.
These work great. But they do require a little work. They are only about a foot long and sand is by nature, soft on top.So in order to create a really effective anchor, you have to dig a hole (by hand is fine) in order to get down to the harder packed sand below. Then begin to crank your anchor. Make sure you choose an angle which will create some leverage to work in your favor for any resistance. I use these to secure a tarp, so I angle the anchor at a 90 degree angle from the angle of the tarp chord. As you crank, you need to apply pressure downward and after some elbow grease, viola. These aren't zero effort by any means. But anything thats this compact, this light weight, this cheap, and is designed for anchoring into sand, is going to take some work to seat right. The trade off would be 2 foot metal anchors. If you'd rather schlep those down to the beach, be my guest, I'll stick with these.I use these to secure a 12 foot Kelty Tarp and they hold secure in coastal afternoon wind.

Stakes work great!
Bought the stakes to hold down an umbrella on the beach. They worked very well. I would recommend these stakes.

hold down a tarp
bought these for my first music festival campsite. they were so easy to use and came with plenty. we used these to keep down our tent and the tarps on the ground. they are a little on the large size so make sure they fit in any small holes you may have. they worked great, didnt break and were so easy to get in and out.
