I was looking to upgrade my wireless setup as my son didnt get great wifi in his room, and a 13 year old with poor wifi isn't great news, constant complaints and requests to see if i can fix it!I first got a TP link wireless adapter for his PC, and have to say that was a massive help on its own, but adding this router made the connection even better. He now gets virtually full speed in his room which is a couple of walls and about 30ft from the router.I also wanted a VPN, and whilst you can add VPNs to some routers i didn't want everything going through the VPN, this router has a feature called VPN fusion that allows you to select what device uses the VPN and what device doesn't. So you can have your laptop going via the VPN for example and the Apple TV using the standard internet. I manged to install NordVPN on it in 5 minutes and its really easy to switch on and off if you want, you don't need loads of IT knowledge.The router has some gaming features which i have not used, and some LED lights on it, but easy to turn off if you want (which i have). I am sure there are lots of other features on it i have yet to try but in terms of a good solid connection and ability to control my VPN this router works well.

The appearance and the RGB light both look very cool. There are many game optimisation functions such as improving Geforce Now performance. It also provides Alexa support, making it easy for you to control some functions through voice.The stability is also excellent. I have never lost any WIFI connections. Although I haven't use the limitation of the router cause my home broadband is not quite fast.

This replaced my RT-AC66U B1 (which has now become an AIMesh node).I have been running the beta firmware (386 RC2-7) and have AIMesh 2 working, which enables a guest network to be accessed on the node(s), so I now have guest network across whole house, a feature I had been looking for for a while. Wired & wireless performance has been zippy & solid so far (has been up one week).VPN Fusion works well once set up, allowing me to route selected network devices to my VPN provider.Finally... I had fully intended to switch off the LED lights when I orderd this... but I actually find myself liking them!

This is a fab router Wi-Fi signal strong fast and stable I have 400 fibre running into the home and on a speed test over Wi-Fi I get just 400 on 5ghz band so it's really just like wired I have over 15 items running off it from playstation Nintendo switch tvs mobiles pcs and a dedicated game port seams flawless the asus app makes set up easy if ya into that kinda thing you can download from play store or I tunes you have allsorts of settings kids time out to firmware updates rgb light changes you could have 2 of these bad boys if you have a large home and make the second one as a node or Wi-Fi extension under Wi-Fi mesh system very easily done too overall awsome bit of kit would recommend

Since getting this I was able to have total control over the internet in the house hold. Easy to use and looks great to boot. Since installing this, we have had no issues with the internet and wifi. It also can connect to Google / Alexa too. It even has a guest login for any visitors you have.Love it and Highly recommend this item.

Didn't work as well as I hoped.

I struggled to get good WiFi signal around my medium sized home with my stock Vodafone router. I tried using extenders and access points but found them to be unreliable.This router has solved all of the issues. WiFi signal and speeds have improved significantly in all areas of the house (including the garden).The user interface is excellent and contains many features and network analytics.This router is worth every penny!

No different from my virgin media super hub 3 but the wifi is better and no different for gaming and yes I went through all the setting. I could only set it up though the phone app at 1st as nothing else was working after watching some YouTube videos I found the app as it dont say anything about it in the paper work or box
