If you have found these spoons, then you are interested in doing what you can to recycle and all of that...and at the same time you need plastic spoons at the office because you don't have a dishwasher to wash all the dishes! Oh, if only we did have one! Alas! But we found these! I am trying them out for the first time and just taking them out of the box today. Since we only need these for daily use (one or two times for making coffee, eating breakfast, lunch, etc.), it just made sense to me. As I buy the products for the office, I'll have to see what my co-workers and boss say about these compostable spoons. We're only using them as you would use a "normal" plastic spoon. We're not digging a grave or stirring cement, so they will work just fine, as far as I am concerned! I only listed it as 4 of 5 stars for the value for the money because they are more expensive than plastic spoons. But this gets 12 out of 10 stars for being good for the earth and reducing plastic trash pile-up, so that's worth it to me! :)

Used these as forks for cake at an anniversary party, the design added something special and we didn't feel bad about having disposable cutlery

We use these spoons in our class activities and labs AND are able to reuse for planting seeds and moving soil.

These are amazing. Most compost/eco-friendly spoons/forks/knives snap really easily, but these don't! These are actually sturdier than the plastic ones we used to buy. They don't snap in half when you dig in to a meal, and they are a really great thickness and weight which is pleasant to to feel. They don't feel thin and cheap with fear of them breaking off in your food or snapping in your face. Love that they are not going to sit in a landfill for all of eternity, and that they are good enough quality to use for all sorts of gatherings without looking cheap or flimsy. Big thumbs up on these!

I really liked these spoons. Very solid & I washed a few to reuse a couple of times.Nice design & they will break down in a landfill too!

Stem is too thin where it meets the bowl. Breaks there under pressure.

Great quality that surpasses plastic ware any day!

The media could not be loaded.  Works well as a plastic fork but it is NOT COMPOSTABLE. Six weeks buried in the ground and it has not even softened up. If you are going to buy disposables, why pay more for something that will end up in landfill or block up composting sites?
