This is the only keychain unit that works for any length of time. I get one of these about every two years. Anything else lasts about six months or wont retract. Price is reasonable and just always works.

The media could not be loaded. I have no "dislikes" for this product. This is exactly what I wanted. Have been chasing. I had no idea Starrett made a key caddy until I was on their website.Why did I need this? I'm a maintenance fabricator where I work and currently the only employee who has keys to anything other than the plant manager. THERES SO MANY KEYS and I'm not gonna put them on my key ring. I carry a lot of keys around the plant for work. This is strong enough to hold them all. I can tell this is a long lasting product. I've been in the manufacturing field for over a decade now and I wish I had known of this long ago.To anyone who sees this, this is strong steel. The chain is a legit chain.(idr what to call the type of chain off the top of my head)However. I can promise you, this is what you want if you're looking for a key caddy. Its pretty. I bet it still looks great after some wear and tear on it. I feel confident carrying this already. Great american made. Its worth every cent.

This has a very tough spring for retracting a large number of keys. I work at a facility that requires a number of keys to access many different buildings. unfortunately, I caught something getting out of my truck and broke the chain right at the key ring itself. the chain did not break. it has a very thin yet tough linking chain that will retract more weight than I was sure it could handle. Unfortunately, the chain regressed inside the compartment and don't know if I can open it up to retrieve the chain.

This key caddy works very well to contain the many keys I need to carry for work. I have used a different brand in the past, but they didn't have the spring strength to keep the keys from dangling down. The Starrett Key Caddy keeps my keys where they belong and it lasts for a good, long time. Eventually, the grommet that is fitted where the chain goes in and out will wear out and fall off and when this happens you may occasionally have to tighten up the screw holding the two sides of the case together. All in all, a well-built, long lasting key caddy.

If you want the old school janitor key ring, this is it. Strong chain, strong spring (for retracting the chain), and made in the US.

It works for the most part. I use mine for work and I have a lot of keys. The most annoying thing is because its a chain it will eat up the sides of your shirts unless you tuck your shirt in. I didn't at first and now all my work shirts have little holes where the chain got caught on my shirt. The next annoying thing is the chain is really really short. Because the chain is so short you have to get right up to the lock and if you extend the chain almost fully the whole unit will fly off your belt because the clip is very very weak.

Use this daily they are heavy duty works flawlessly

Excellent product so far, use it to carry lock keys on me for easy accessibility when working. Heavy duty had several cheaper ones break over time
