VCA-DCV VMware Certified Associate on vSphere Study Guide: VCAD-510

The book itself is well written, can be a bit repetitive but that's not really a bad thing in this case. The author does a great job explaining the tools, the book is well organized, and I learned a lot. In fact the company I was working for hadn't implemented half of the features available.I highly recommend this book for anyone who is new to VMware and wants/needs to know what's available. You'll definitely get a good idea about the tools to use and why you would use them. Even if you use VMware daily there's probably features you don't know about.I highly discourage paying $150 for the exam (I didn't), it's essentially throwing money away since recruiters have no idea about this cert, the other certs might be worth it but this one is taken online so it's just a way to collect money.So buy the book to get an idea about what you can do with VMware server don't even waste your time with the VCA-DCV.

Although is older reference material it was a very helpful resource that i used to pass the VCTA-DCV 2021 exam. I like that it came with one years access to flashcards, quizzes, and practice test ( ihad to contact support to get access to this fyi.)

Keep in mind that the VCA-DCV is being retired November 30, 2015 and being replaced with the VCA6-DCV. I think this book is based on vSphere 5.5, so it's not going to have the latest/greatest topics for the new cert. However, you will still get a good basis of what vSphere is - you will just have to follow it up with v6 specific items.

As described. This is all you need for the test. I'd recommend downloading VirtualBox and practicing tho.

Great material when used in combination with VMware's free VCA-DCV course and hands-on labs.

Slammed through it pretty quick. Gives a decent foundation but it wasn't super effective for the VCA6-DCV by itself . It's ok to use as a source but as with most books don't make it your primary resource. I use cbtnuggets, pluralsight, and udemy as my video training sources. hope this helps someone. Good luck to those going for the cert.

If you read the book, you can pass the first time.

This is complete rubbish so high level it is a waste of time. Do not waste your money.
