The best backseat mirror on the market!
As parents who choose to rear face our children in the car until at least the age of 2 we have used several backseat mirrors including the Brica Baby In-Sight Mirror and Brica Day & Night Light Musical Auto Mirror . Particularly once the baby/toddler is in a rear-facing convertible seat with a tall shell, I like being able to glance back and make sure that the child is OK. My vehicle does not have a center head rest, so when we only had one child and her seat was in the center, I would install the Brica mirrors but they flopped and slid without having a head rest for support. I could not install the mirror on one of the outboard head rests and angle it so that the child in the center positioned seat was visible, and the mounting method for a seating position without a head rest is crummy. Even when the car seat is in a seating position with a head rest, it's a battle to get the Brica mirror set up properly. You install it, then run to the driver's seat to check if you can actually see the baby or if you need to change the angle, which requires removing the mirror, trying to adjust the angle properly, and re-installing it! It is a frustrating, iterative process. We have been generally happy with our Britax Boulevard 70 car seats for our older daughter and when I saw the Britax mirror I decided to give it a try. Talk about simple! You simply buckle the mirror onto the vehicle head rest using vertical and horizontal straps, then pivot the mirror so that it is properly positioned for viewing from the front seat. There's no need to remove it, adjust it, and re-install it in order to hopefully get a good view. The mirror itself is clear and undistorted. It has installed very easily and quickly in both my 2010 Chevrolet Equinox and my husband's 2001 Toyota Camry. Right now our 3 year old is forward facing but I use it to see our new daughter who rides in a Chicco Keyfit 30. I've appropriated the Britax back seat mirror that we already bought and we're ordering another one for his car. The price point is comparable to the Brica mirrors but it is much easier to install and use - it's a no brainer! Note: we are well aware that CPSTs are supposed to tell you that these mirrors are a bad idea because they can become projectiles in the event of an accident, and that they can distract the driver. We have made a parental decision to use them anyways. Frankly, in the event of a major collision I have much bigger concerns than the possibility that a backseat mirror will come loose! Also, I have never found the mirror distracting since I peek back only when at a stop sign or light.

Better than most
I don't buy into the whole "back seat mirrors are a distraction" issue. Choose when to look (straight-away with no intersections, at stop lights, etc) and do it quickly. Our son had some issues with coughing/choking and would eventually not make a sound if in the wrong position. The lack of sound is not enough to know everything was fine. We received some of the cheaper, store-bought, back seat mirrors for our baby shower and used them for all of one car ride. They generally stayed in place fine but the "mirror" surface was anything but. It was barely better than a fun house mirror. This Britax mirror was much nicer and actually gave a very clear picture of our son. It never moved and amazingly, did not permanently dent the leather on the headrest after a full year. The straps are adjustable enough to fit some huge headrests. I'm generally not a big user of "premium" baby products, especially ones made by Britax but this is definitely an exception. It's nice and big, gives a good view of baby and matched our Ford Explorer "Medium Light Stone" interior very well. Well worth the premium over lesser mirrors.

The extra large size is really convenient and it has two straps so it’s not a projectile
This is a great backseat mirror for kids has two straps so it’s not a projectile and it really is bigger than the other ones so the kids can see more and I can see the kids better

Excellent safety product
This is a great product. We hesitated a long time to get it because of two reasons: 1) people would say that it's a distraction for the driver and 2) at the hospital the nurses once told us that any loose objects inside a car may become "projectiles" during a crash. Let me begin addressing the latter: this thing can be very well attached to the head rest by way of the included cross-strap. It would be extremely hard for it to become loose or detached. Additionally, it is made of anti-shatter glass (It looks more like plastic to me). Regarding the first reason, it is as much of a distraction as having a passenger in the back talking to you (so, not really a big deal in my opinion if you know how to drive properly). I think being able to see if your baby is choking or just quickly checking on her/him by just give it a glance is a huge advantage and it's totally worth it. It is convex, which allows you to see your whole baby (and see what she is playing with) and you can actually adjust it / modify the reflection angle after it is installed.

Way Better than the Brica!
We had been using the Brica carseat mirror before I purchased the Britax mirror. This back seat mirror is perfect for you if you do not have a center headrest. However, we have used it in both a car (Mazda 3i) and a crossover SUV (Toyota RAV4) and have really liked it in both. The Brica mirror would never stay in place and was frequently tipping over. Basically, it hung there, never giving us any views of our son. However, the Britax mirror can be attached to the head rest of the side seat and tilted to still give a good view of our son. It's a great car seat mirror and I wish I hadn't wasted my money on the Brica mirror. Compared to the Brica mirror, this Britax mirror is more sturdy. It is solid plastic and has a sturdy rectangular back that juts out a little bit. It has straps that wrap the headrest like a ribbon wraps a present. This is a great feature that makes it nice and secure. My only complaint, that makes me give it 4 stars, is that the mirror tilts itself down sometimes and needs to be adjusted periodically. Great buy!

I’ve tried 3 different mirrors and so far this is the best one, easy to install, doesn’t slip and slide all over the place, is easy to angle to the perfect spot and I love how wide and clear it is so I can really see what’s going on with my baby. I recommend it for sure

Bit of a struggle to fit a shallow ( top to bottom) head rest in F Pace. Contact post limited lets see how quickly it loosens

Love this mirror. Large size. Good quality mirror, I can see my baby clearly and completely while driving. Rotates well. Fastens to headrest well. Good purchase. Highly recommend
