Kimagure Orange Road Omnibus Volume 1 (KIMAGURE ORANGE ROAD OMNIBUS GN) Paperback – August 25, 2020

This manga was a big hit in Japan in the mid 1980s.The storyline is somewhat different from the anime version. The characters also look slightly different.But if you have seen the anime and liked it, you are sure to like the manga. I think the manga depicts the growing fondness between Kyosuke and Madoka a little better.The drawings are superb, and the translation to English almost flawless.This manga has over 550 pages. Given that, I don't think the manga is overpriced.If there was a slight drawback, it was the fact that the characters are all in junior high.I did think the psychology of the characters were little too mature for junior high students.I am also not sure if depicting a junior high Madoka as a sex symbol was all that appropriate.But never mind, the storyline, characters, and drawings are unforgettable.This manga is a high quality work of art.I loved it so much, I decided the purchase the rest of the 5 books in this manga series.
