Unbelievably good
The craftsmanship is second to none. It's simply a beautiful instrument. There were no flaws on the one I received. The sound level is far better than the old Fender acoustics. These have gone up by about a hundred dollars in the last few years, but they've added far better hardware for a more precise sound - so, worth it by a mile.I would consider this a high-end guitar for a casual player. You're not going on tour with it, but could easily play open mic nights, etc. Having owned much cheaper beginner guitars, I can say without a doubt that had I invested in a guitar like this in the past, I wouldn't have stopped and started learning guitar so many timesThe built in pre-amp and tuner is second to none. The sound quality is beyond reproach. Great product, fair price, and great sound quality. .

As advertised
Beautiful mahogany top guitar, with fantastic sound and playability. A couple turns on the truss rod and ready to go. May still get a professional setup, plays great as is.

Good guitar for the price
This review is for a Fender CD-140 SCE dreadnaught 6 string., I just received the guitar on 2-3-21. Ordered from Amazon. It arrived in good condition and shipping only took 3 days. My first impression was that the finish is beautiful. It is high gloss all over. The down side of this is that the neck is also glossy which tends to be a little more "sticky" than a satin or matte finish would be. The fret board edges are very smooth and the action seems just right. I couldn't detect any fret buzz. After I tuned it and played a little I was happy with the tone and sustain. It also sounds good plugged into my Crate acoustic amp. The sound was clear with no feedback or noise. The Fishman Pre amp controls aren't the greatest. The little knobs for volume bass and treble are very small and it is hard to see how much you have turned them. The on board tuner is ok and closely matches the settings of my digital clip on tuner. The guitar weighs exactly 5 pounds and feels fairly light--which I like. It came with a hard case, which is fine, especially when you check case prices running at least $60 and up. It also came with a 10 foot cable, and a hex wrench for adjusting the truss rod.I paid $299 but have seen most sellers asking $439. The bottom line is that this guitar is a bargain, and seems to be well made and of decent quality.. I give it 4 stars, but really, when you consider the price, even at $400 it is close to a 5.

EXCELLENT GUITAR for the money
I wanted an acoustic but had a budget. I bought this because of the solid top and what I read about it on Amazon and online in youtube. It has a real, rich sound that is very clear. It holds tune well. It is big but it is a dreadnaught which was a little tough getting used to but I really enjoy this guitar.I shopped around for about 4 months going to guitar stores and the price range for this size with the solid top narrows it down to a few guitars plus the cut so you can play the high frets.I will say the only drawback is the action seems a little high in the higher frets but that may be normal for this price range. I know if I buy a Gibson or similar someday then I will get better action but that will cost me $3K.

Fantastic Guitar!
It was setup perfect right out of the box. No sharp fret ends and rounded finger board for a great feel. It sounds fantastic. And having the preamp an built-in tuner in a great bonus. It sounds great just acoustically or when plugged into an amplifier. And it comes with a very nice hard shell case.

Poor build quality
Very poor build quality compared to other low-price guitars I have bought. Tuners are horrible quality, neck was cracked at the head stock upon arrival, and the wood of the whole guitar felt cheap and thin all over. If you are looking at a nylon hybrid, the Yamaha NTX1 is a much better guitar for the same price. 2 stars because it sounded decent and a hard case is included.

Kinda disappointed.
Guitar was nice. But there were two huge depressions in the neck from wood knots or wood defects. The wood was finished right over it. And this defect right where your hand would slide when playing.Honestly never seen this before, especially on a guitar with the fender name on it.Additionally, Amazon made it worse. Item was shipped and sold through Amazon. Yet when I processed the return, Amazon said the refund will take 30 days lol. So needless to say, I’m not ordering a replacement and will just go to guitar center and buy another that’s not defective. 30 days for a refund? Do better Amazon.

Best guitar for the money.
I bought my first guitar 42 years ago and have been playing ever since. I just sold my last electric and have gone back to all acoustic, but the Fishman pickup in this axe means I can still plug in when I want to. The action on this guitar is the best I've ever owned - just add light gauge phosphor bronze stings. When you want to go electric, just add a DOD Overdrive 250 preamp for all the snarl, distortion, and sustain you can handle. You can't beat the price, particularly with a hard case included.
