Great Value, Great Tent - Highly Recommend but Not for Taller Vehicles
This tent is great quality and very spacious, easy to assemble with two. One person assembly may be more difficult but could be done. The ONLY issue we have is the opening for the vehicle hatch was not quite tall enough for the Bronco SUV. As you can see in the photo this caused some extra slack near the trunk but we figured it out and it worked just fine. Bugs, rain and dew stayed out! This would be most suitable for the crossover type vehicles and smaller… think Equinox, Blazer, Compass…smaller SUVs.This is the Walmart “Ozark Trails” brand (which doesn’t matter to us but does to some other reviewers it seems)While we will eventually purchase one with the opening height we need, this will last us the rest of this year’s trips and we’ll keep using it!Needless to say, I’m giving a 5 star review because this is a great deal on a very cool tent! Highly recommend.

Month long road trip
Ok so we took a month long road trip and had to use this tent on a very regular basis. So if you only need this for 1 or 2 nights, no question this is a great buy! The added fact that the price is so low literally leaves no question. Definitely worth the money. For longer trips, much like the month long 14 state trip we took then there are couple other tents i would consider.Windy nights can get pretty aggressive with the weather covering on and even when you take it off the tent poles sometimes cave in.The stakes could be a little thicker especially if you plan on camping in a rocky area. Its a pretty large tent so there's no reason to question the size. 5 ppl can sleep comfortably.Tip: when you pull it out of the bag pay attention to the way its folded otherwise is can get a little frustrating.

*WARNING* This is a Walmart (Ozark Trail) tent!
First of all, I write quite a few reviews and can't remember the last time I had to give a 1 star (if ever). We were searching for an SUV tent to take on a camping trip. We looked all over - including the Ozark Trail tent at Walmart. It only got 3 stars overall, along with some pretty bad reviews for quality, so we figured we'd stay away from it. We then found this one here labeled as the brand "Patio Joy" and it got better reviews so we figured we'd give it a shot.We received it in a box that came directly from Walmart, packaged with Walmart tape, so we were confused. We opened it up and sure enough, it was the Ozark Trail tent. I'm not even sure where the tent brand "Patio Joy" that's listed here came from. We returned it as we knew it wouldn't fit our needs quality-wise.I just wanted to put this out there to alert others to be careful, as I've never experienced this before. I had no idea this could even happen.

learning curve
ok so this is the first time i have put up a tent. the learning curve was steep and it was raining but it is actually pretty easy. there are no instructions so i looked at the picture. i guess they figure if u are not smart enough to figure it out you shouldn't be in the wilderness. good point. any way after the first failed attempt i got it. 1) set the floor with the double holer away from the suv. 2) string the 2 black sticks thru the top channels of the tent on the outside evenly in a cross pattern. set sticks in the corner mounting holes one at a time keeping the tent erect. 3) pop in side hooks onto black sticks to stretch tent. tent is now up then set all side anchors. 4) drape vinyl cover over tent with white side away from suv. hook corners and tie down. the one silver stick is for the entrance (away from suv). one never goes inside the tent during setup. my bad.once i figured that out the suv or minivan position in my case was a "do the best u can" situation. my hatch doesn't go all the way up but it does the job. for the money i would give it a 5 star cuz it was the least expensive i could find. now because i didnt know what i was doing i pulled and tugged and even ran over it. it should have ripped but it did not. it is not high end but for a walmart product (yes, it even came in a walmart box) it is pretty sturdy. however, i will only give it 4 stars cuz it isn't perfect. 5 means perfect. i like the way the vinyl cover extends past the door keeping out the rain. now that i know how to use it, it might last a little bit. oh, i put a cheap 10x10 canopy over the tent for shade and rain protection. the tent fits under it perfectly. btw, as challenging as it was I did it alone. therefore, it can be done but it would have been nice to have a second person. my dog was no help:0)

Impressive for the price
A great tailgate tent. Nice size and comfortable to stand up in. Fits a queen size air mattress with about 1 foot of space on three sides. Held up in a light rain with no problem. I use it on the back of my Subaru Forester as a living space and it's easy enough to set up solo. A good buy for car camping.
