Q: How do you put the batteries in?

With an authoritative voice, tell the batteries to get into their designated positions. If they fail to listen, unscrew the bottom of the light at the seam below the on off button. Use only alkaline batteries and note the orientation of both the cap and batteries. Inside the cap, there are scribe + and - marks. There is also a post with an internal contact which fits into the the case in only one position. Check your batteries and change them before the light is obviously dim, and do not store the light in freezing or above 100 f temperatures. Corroding batteries will ruin a perfectly good lantern.

Q: Where can I find replacement bulbs? What kind?

There are no bulbs to replace as this does not use incandescent bulbs which burn out. This lamp uses LED's which generally last 20,000 hours or more, gives off a bright white light while using very little power from the batteries so they last much longer. If for example you used it every day, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for a year that would be 2,080 hours and it would last, with that usage over 10 years.

Q: How do you get the handle up?

Just pull up on the yellow handle. One pulled up very easily. The other one I pulled up with a knife. Once it was lifted it never got stuck again
