Got2b Defiant Define and Shine Pomade, 2-Ounce (Pack of 2)

The Got2Be pomade has a great scent, is perfect for curly hair to prevent frizz when finishing hair when dry. It is not a heavy paste, but a smooth, light gel-like salve that gives curls definition and shy without making hair feel stiff. My curly-haired family loves it and I buy it 4 cannisters at a time. It is a fab product.

This is great hair product. My husband uses it and his hair stays perfectly in place without being crunchy. The only complaint would be that the smell can be a little strong. It's a nice clean scent but is a little overpowering at times.

Using it for years

To each his/her own, but I do like this pomade alot. My hair has a tendency to be dry and coarse, but with this pomade not only helps me gain some control, but it give my hair a non-greasy natural shine - no stiffness, nice soft touch. It sets well and lasts all day into the next. Also, it depends on the person, but I really like the orangy smell. It's pleasant and clean. That being said, it's not going to empty my wallet using it either. I super picky about my pomade and I've tried many. I hope that this doesn't get discontinued. It's my pomade of choice from now on.

Let me preface this review by saying I'm just an average guy - not some stylist or hair care professional or Jersey Shore wannabe. I keep my hair short, styled kinda spiky and chunky.This product is listed as a pomade, but I don't think that's entirely accurate. Most pomades I've used have been creamy or oily, and this is neither. It gives great shine and hold, but still washes out easily - unlike some other products I've used, like the ones from Axe. It's a shimmery translucent orange in the container, but obviously doesn't leave any tint in your hair once applied. Use it sparingly; you'd be amazed at how much hold you get out of a little bit of product! It initially has a light, almost citrus-like scent - but it doesn't last, which brings me to the title of this review...It lingers with a slightly waxy, chemical smell to it. It's not really unpleasant, it's just very artificial and not pleasing like other products' scents such as J Crew. I don't wear much cologne, but I think heavy use of this pomade would still overpower it for the first few hours. This is another good reason to apply sparingly!As for its actual performance, as I said, it holds very well right off the bat. Being easily water-soluble is a nice touch, but it means that it won't do so well when applied to wet hair. I also notice the hold fades throughout the course of a day - probably as it warms up to body temperature - so I "freeze" my look with hairspray once I get the style I want. It doesn't take much, but your style will fall if you don't add something to reinforce it. The net result is shiny, styled hair that is still pliable and holds well; no worries about "breaking" your style just by touching it. The other nice thing about not being so oily is that your hair won't be greasy to the touch once it's applied.SUMMARYPROS: Good hold, not oily, flexible styleCONS: Light chemical smell, loses hold over time

This is the absolute best for my fine salt/ pepper hair.I can only find this on line thru Amazon. It had been sold on Walgreens they stopped selling. Then I found it at CVS. They stopped. Thanks so much for Amazon!!!

Used to use just to shine my hair & keep baby hair bag. Now using to clean up my wiry gray's back. Is preferable compared to several different brands.

If you haven't tried it, you've "got2". It's waxy but not greasy, it keeps my hair in place without being stiff, I don't have to "comb it out", it lasts all day, and it smells good!I have used this pomade since the year of our Lord 2005; it is the ONLY pomade I use. It is getting harder to find in stores for some sad reason, so to Amazon I have come.PLEASE DO NOT STOP SELLING THIS!!! NOTHING ELSE WORKS FOR MY HAIR!!!!
