Good coverup and affordable
Good coverup. Works well and the price is good compared to other brands. I always use this and will only buy this brand.

Perfect Matte Foundation!!!
Whether you want matte or shine, you can achieve that with any product you layer with it, after applying this, but if you want to have a matte finish, this will do that for you. So... It layers nicely, has a nice fresh scent, and I've used it for centuries, lol. It's Covergirl foundation, so it's perfect! <3

Always perfect
I order this foundation online so I can find my shade easily every time, it it more expensive, though. I wear it on ly oily sunscreen and it gives a nice matte finish.

A go-to foundation for YEARS!
This has been my go-to foundation for probably 25 years. It does not break me out, lasts all day, doesn't have a fragrance, won't clog my pores, provides medium coverage, and stands up to my oily skin. I think this line is being discontinued and I'm SO sad about it! I'm stocking up now. This has always been a great foundation for many skin types that was really affordable. Grab it while you can, folks!

Lightweight and beautiful
This has been my go-to foundation for YEARS! It is so light and feels like I am barely wearing anything on my skin, but gives a beautiful refreshed look and has a decent amount of coverage. I would definitely need concealer on days where I'm having a breakout, but with this product that rarely happens! It's light and gives a matte finish, perfect!

I have very oily and acne-prone skin so I was interested in trying out this Clean Matte liquid foundation by CoverGirl. The Creamy Natural shade (520) is a bit too dark for my skin tone, I’m more ghostly and need something with a very slight yellow undertone instead of a pink one as my skin already has some pink/redness that I’m trying to tone down and cover. One thing I have to say is that I HATE the bottle. I don’t understand why they didn’t package this in a pump dispensing bottle or a squeeze tube at the very least. This is the first bottle of foundation I’ve used in over 10 years probably that didn’t have a pump dispenser. I don’t want to upend the bottle into the palm of my hand (or on the back) as I don’t want to contaminate the rest of the product in the bottle with bacteria so I resort to using q-tips or a clean plastic mini cosmetic spatula to scoop out some foundation. The coverage is about medium so I do need a separate concealer to cover acne but otherwise, it conceals the red veins around my nose and it does a nice job of evening out my skin tone. I like that it feels lightweight and non-existent on my skin. I typically try not to wear foundation anymore and try to use either BB cream or just concealer and powder if my skin hasn’t been too bad. The finish is matte, not dewy or satin, so it’s definitely good for oily skin types who develop their own “glow” within an hour or two. My skin inevitably turns even the chalkiest and most matte makeup look into a “glow” or greasy shine as the day goes on. The foundation breaks up a bit around my nose (which all foundations, BB creams and concealers do) as it’s my oiliest area.

Covergirl used to be my go to foundation for many years and it was cheap. It worked, it had sheer coverage and it had a matte finish to it. You need to reapply for a thicker coverage but then it starts looking thicker on and doesn't blend as well. The bottle is awful and I end up using a q tip each time to take product out wasting product. There's no ball in it to assist with mixing it when you shake it although you could put your own in if you wanted. It transfers to surfaces really easily so in the winter my jacket gets full of it. It was my go to previously soley based on cost and the ability to find my shade. Now it's only in emergencies that I would use it.

As someone who is in their late 30s and has combination and acne-prone skin, I have to be a bit more mindful of what foundation I use. Matte foundations are good for controlling oily areas and are less likely to cause breakouts, but they also tend to enhance fine lines. While this foundation is considered matte, I don't find it as flat as other matte foundations. While it did make some dry spots more noticeable, it still left my skin looking natural. This may be due to the fact that it has more of a light to medium coverage. It did not enhance any of my fine lines at all. It felt very lightweight and comfortable to wear. It didn't feel tacky after it settled and I felt that I could get away without setting or doing a light setting if I planned on using powder products on top. As for it being non-scented, I still do find that it has a light fragrance. Not so much if I were to smell from the bottle, but I can smell it while applying. I like the scent and it is very faint. Overall, I am very happy with it. I think it will be a go-to foundation this summer due to its light-weight and oil controlling nature.
