Excellent product--works great for my ankles too!!
I'm a huge skeptic of any new product in the world of cosmetics and weight loss that is not based on sound scientific research--I found the Isavera fat-freezing after reading up on how Coolsculpting works and started looking for a more cost-effective way. To make sure I wasn't going to waste 8 weeks of my time and money, I decided to measure the temperatures of the gel packs when they came out of the freezer, as well as my skin temperature after wearing them for 10 minutes. I was honestly surprised and quite excited to see that the temperatures were within the zone of of fat apoptosis that I read about in the Wikipedia article on cryolipolysis (fat freezing). I used a thermocouple to measure the temperatures which registered 36 degree Fahrenheit on one ankle and 38 degrees F on the other! According to Wikipedia article, this falls within the temperature zone causing fat cell death. so this system should work on the same basic principle as Coolsculpting. I'm quite impressed. The gel packs themselves registered below 32 degrees right after I took them out the freezer, so it seems they must contain something causing them to get colder than ice or a regular sports cold pack. Note-the packs are seriously cold, so I'd consider wearing gloves or holding them with a cloth when inserting them into the wraps. I measured my skin again after 30 minutes, and they were still in the correct temperature zone for fat cell freezing but had gone up about 5 degrees. After testing with the outermost pocket as recommended in the instructions, I put the gel packs in the innermost pocket closest to my skin and tested with the thermocouple (so I'm not sure how cold skin would get if using them in the outermost pocket). It's helpful to lay the packs flat in the freezer so they come out smooth to easily fit into the pockets (initially I put them in the freezer all squashed together in a plastic baggie so were all crumpled, almost solid, and it took a few minutes to flatten out, and kind of painful since they are so cold). The wraps seem very well-designed for their purpose and used good quality material. The material is somewhat stretchy which made it easier to adjust and make them fit my contours and stay up. My arms and ankles are pretty large in circumference, so I was glad to see the size worked perfectly for both-I measured my arms before ordering to make sure. For a person with much smaller arms or ankles, I believe one of the ice packs could be left of the wrap to make it fit more snugly if needed. (I think making sure that the inside of the wrap is completely contacting the skin to avoid any air gap is important, otherwise it might impede maximum skin cooling. I may try using leggings or a shirt with stretchy sleeves to help them make maximal contact on my ankles and arms.)Based on my testing, I decided to order all three kits and plan on rotating between days for 8 weeks as suggested. I also plan to use the arms kit on my calves. I'm really glad to find a product that seems to really live up to what it claims.

They are just ice packs
By the admission of the company itself, the ice packs that they sell you in the Isavera fat freezing "system" is really just standard ice packs that you can buy at the supermarket for under $10. Yes you read that right, they are just normal ice packs, nothing special about them. The difference here is that you get a pair of nifty arm wraps to put your ice packs in, and that's what you're shelling out close to $100 bucks for. Also by their own admission, Isavera just used coolsculpting's research. In other words, yes, you can, technically speaking, freeze off your fat cells, coolsculpting has proven that, HOWEVER, just because cool sculpting, which is much colder, involves a big suction machine and is, you know, scientific, can freeze off your fat, doesn't mean a couple of ice packs stuck in an overly expensive arm bandage can do the same thing. Yes, I know, you've probably seen the before and after pictures in the other reviews and you're getting close to shelling out your hard earned money for this over priced wrap and ice pack combo, for some DIY coolsculpting, but here are somethings to consider before you buy into this. First, there might be other factors involved that produced the before and after results. For example, did that person make any other lifestyle changes that might have produced the before and after results (e.g. diet, exercise?) were both photos taken at the same time of day (we always look a few inches thinner first thing in the morning and bloated later on in the day)? Speaking of which, if a person is bloated in the before picture and not bloated in the after, that can also produce the before and after results that these reviews are showing. But let's give this DIY ice pack fat freezing hack the benefit of the doubt and say that you can, in fact, achieve coolsculpting results, at home without spending a grand per treatment. Do you really need to buy this particular product, though?? I mean, since it's just ice packs and nothing special, why is this company trying to charge a whooping $100 for a few ice packs with their name stuck on it? Well, what you are really paying for is just the wraps. They claim you need these wraps to prevent frost bite and also for the sake of convenience, since, having wraps to keep the ice packs in place supposedly beats having to hold an ice pack against your stomach for an hour. But, as for the functionality of the product itself, I find it very frustrating to use. They slide off, no matter how much I tighten them, the weight of the ice packs cause the bands to slide or come and I can never get it to stay in one place (as in the place I'm trying to freeze my fat off from). Also , once the ice packs start to melt it gets very wet. I practically can't sit on my couch or sit anywhere in my house other than in my bathtub for an hour unless I want to clean up a puddle once the hour is up. In other words, since what I'm actually paying the high price for are the wraps, for the price that this company is charging, I'd expect something that's far more user friendly, less messy and less frustrating to use. The only thing I can say is, yeah, the wraps probably protect against frost bite, but as for everything else, I'm pretty sure I've just been swindled out of my money. So far, I've been using Isavera for a week and each time I put it on, I'm more and more convinced that while my fat cells will stay right where they are, the only thing I've just lost is a whole lot of my hard earned cash. Definitely a regret buy.

Didn’t work for me
I tried it 6 to 7 days a week for a month, and didn’t get any results. I also hd to ask foe help to put it on because it would slide off.
