It did NOT fit in my Bodum Plastic base and handle because it has a slightly bigger diameter than the Bodum at the base, however I just heated the plastic to make it soft, and squeezed this replacement in while the plastic was malleable.Now I have a super tight fit so it won't slide out and break like the original.GREAT Price!!! So, I bought 2.They just arrived, and I haven't used them yet, but I can't imagine any issues with the glass. It is high quality, strong, thick, borosilicate glass.The original filter screen of my French press DID fit on the inside exactly the way it should. I am very happy with my purchase.

This carafe is nice and thick, and has measurements markings. I used it to replace the thinner one that broke. Happy with it so far!

Product is too big and needs to be returned

Soon after purchase, my glass pour spout cracked and partially fell off from being bumped slightly with something hard (a pot I think), as mentioned in at least one other review. But at half the price, this thing is still durable, fits a BonJour 8-cup and takes heat/cold shock just fine. This thing lasted me 6 months, other than the spout issue, with heavy office use (2-6 times a day). The BonJour ones last just as long, but maybe with the spout intact. Also, these don't fit perfectly. I have ordered more than one and they come in different diameters. One was loose in my holder, while the other one was way too tight.

My husband was reaching into a cabinet and somehow the French press popped out shattering the carafe. I was relieved to find a replacement. The size is perfect! This saved me from having to purchase a whole new press and it saved the landfills from receiving the metal parts that would have been discarded had I not found the carafe. Win Win - saved money and the planet! LOL!

I had one of these before but when it broke I bought a plastic one. However the plastic developed cracks and leaked. After a long hesitation I decided to buy another glass replacement beaker and I am glad I did. It won't crack and waste cups of coffee through leaks. so the upside is I use less coffee and save on coffee which over the long term could be quite a bit. I just have to be careful not to break it. If you are like me and putting up with one of those plastic beakers I recommend you get this beaker. It insets into the holder perfectly if you follow the video for correct insertion which recommends heating the holder. This softens the plastic and allows for the glass beaker to fit down into the holder easily. I recommend it it came perfectly packed and in good condition. The only problem is the pouring spout. It doesn't pour too well maybe not its not formed right I don't know however, I found if you pour slowly it works just fine, no spills. Just don't be in a hurry when you are pouring your coffee this all.

*Update Dec 24th 2019*So this thing cracked in about a month or normal use. It is no longer safe for use. I do not recommend this product.************************End Update*********************This beaker gets 3 stars off the bat for fitting as a replacement to my prior beaker. However, I have an issue with the thickness.I broke my previous beaker when I happened to turn too fast, lost my footing and slammed the beaker into a door jam. However, I kept the pieces to compare to the new beaker.The listing reports that this beaker is 1.8mm thick. Using a ruler at the top rounded rim of the beaker, which is noticeably thicker than the rest of the beaker, I measured 1/16th (I don't have a MM scale). Converting those measurements into inches I believe that it is 0.062" when it should be around 0.070". Given the the rim of the beaker is actually the thickest part the 1.8mm thickness is definitely misleading. Though I can't measure it with a ruler there is a noticeable different in thickness between fingers when comparing to my old beaker's glass in the body of the beakers.Given that my new beaker is broken I went ahead and measured the rounded lip area of the beaker and the body as well. The rounded lip area measured to be 1/8" thick or 0.125", twice as thick as the new beaker's lip area. I then measured thickness of the glass in the surface area of the beaker and found it measured exactly at 1/16". If the rounded area at the top of the beaker is any indication of how much thicker my old beaker is/was compared to the new beaker that means my old beaker was literally twice as thick as the new one!Overall, the difference in thickness leaves this beaker feeling inferior and misrepresented by the listing as it is definitely not 1.8mm thick, even at the rim where the baker is close to double in thickness. Even before measuring it I felt like it was lighter and weaker in comparison to my old beaker. This new beaker is basically more than half the cost of a new french press. For the price I had hoped the glass would provide the same durability, however, I do not feel that this beaker could hold up as well as the one it has replaced. I also feel the listing does not properly list measurements for this item.

Nice glass carafe that works well in standard Bodum carrier. Have to be a bit careful in first use when dumping out grounds as it may slide out of the stainless style carrier/handle. Just keep thumb on top of glass as it is tipped over and all is good.

Buscaba un repuesto para el vaso de mi prensa francesa marca Bodum que recién se había roto. Deseaba comprar el original pero al buscarlo me di cuenta que era más caro el repuesto de la jarra por separado que comprar una prensa nueva de la marca... Preferí buscar una jarra alternativa ya que el cuerpo de mi prensa es de acero y aún esta en perfecto estado. Esta jarra tenía buenas reseñas y estoy muy contenta con el producto. Es de muy buena calidad, el vidrio templado es grueso, y tiene marcas de medida lo cual me agrada mucho para hacer diferentes cantidades de café. Es del tamaño compatible con la cafetera de acero su tapa y rejilla. La mejor alternativa para repuesto de una jarra de estas características.

Extremely pleased. This is a great fit for my generic 4" diameter press/1 litre French press. This replacement is a thicker, better construction than the original as evidenced by weight on a scale. Still no problem fitting it into the securing bands of the French press. I had a press that worked well, didn't allow grinds into the mug. This purchase meant I didn't have to roll the dice on a replacement that might not work as well and kept the working parts out of the landfill. I recommend this product to everyone!

Muy buena calidad

It fits a little snug in our old bodom handle but it fits! The press fits perfectly inside. The glass is much thicker so hopefully it won't break as easily. I would highly recommend it.
