Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased this item because I grill a lot on the Blackstone and my hands get tired when grinding peppercorns over a large amount of food. When I got the item, I was immediately impressed with not only the look, but how long the battery held a charge for grinding. The unit activates whenever you turn it over to season your food and turns off when you set it back down. The battery lasts long enough for me to grill for several hours without needing a charge.About five months after I bought the units, the ceramic grinding stone cracked and caused the unit to be non-functioning. I contacted customer service and truly have to say that the customer service actually exceeds the quality of the product which is awesome in itself. I was immediately contacted back so that they could get the replacement shipped out and received the replacement within just a couple of days. I can’t recommend this product enough and would buy these again as gifts for other people.

This pepper mill works great! Before purchasing this pepper mill, we purchased a manual pepper mill from Amazon when the one we had for years quit working properly. The new one was okay, but after using our daughter’s battery powered pepper mill we decided to get one. We are very happy with this purchase. This pepper mill is easy to use, good quality, very easy to install batteries and easy to add peppercorns. It also stores upright, not with the grinder side down so that no pepper residue gets in the cabinet or where it is stored. We would definitely purchase this item again.

The shakers themselves are great!! My husband was grilling yesterday and used them. The oils from his hand smeared the ink that is the power on/off button. I washed it with a damp rag to get the smug off and all the ink came off so now they’re blank but that doesn’t matter anymore because they still work great.

I’ve bought several of these. The capacity is great and the grind speed and adjustable ability is great. I do have to replace the salt dispenser seems like every other year. The salt dust gets into the groves of the adjustable dial on top and hardens like cement. I’m still on my original pepper grinder but on my 3rd salt grinder in 3 years. I’m sure if I cleaned it regularly it wouldn’t be an issue so not sure if it’s a defect of the item or just user error. Either way with the price I’m fine with buying a new one every few years.

These grinders are great! To adjust the grind size is so easy, just an easy turn of a knob on the top. Easy even for a 71 year old woman with terrible arthritis and nerve damage in my hands and wrists. They are also very easy to fill and they are quite attractive as well! They are rechargeable so I don't yet know how long the charge will last. I charged them for the first time last week and have been using them every day. They are very sturdy and do exactly what they detail in the description. The acrylic clear part is not thin at all and feels more like glass. They are just so EASY. Turn on, lift and turn upside down and it starts grinding. Turn upright and it stops. They even have a light so you can see the size of the grind and how much you are adding to the food. Simply put, one of the best products I have ever bought. They were packed well for shipping and arrived early.

This works sooo AMAZING! Turn on and flip upside down for a couple seconds and you have perfect amount of pepper or hold longer if you like pepper as much I do when cooking.

worked well at first, grinds pepper and salt chunky and can not adjust it to a fine grind. After a humid summer the salt unit gummed up. Took it apart fixed it only for it to happen again in an other month or so. Problem was the clogging of the motor with salt residue since the salt passed though the motor area. I pitched the set and bought a pricier unit with the motor always above the salt flow. Though I miss the ease of turning it upside down to run it. My new unit has a button on top. So, if humidity is not an issue for you and you like course ground, this should work fine for you and for the price.

Update: I found a YT video of a similar shaker and was able to take it apart and clean with a toothpick. It had a salt stone lodged. Reassembly messed up the gravity function. To fix, I tried the “IT repair” method of applying pressure to the batteries and lightly tapping the unit. This worked for now. Will see how long it lasts. Because of this good news, upping the star rating because when working, I like these a lot.Prior status: When the shakers were working, they were very nice. The salt shaker’s batteries ran low and when replaced the shaker no longer works. Note that the pepper shaker’s batteries are running strong. Since it’s past the support period, only message I received was the past support status. When I put the replacement batteries in the device, they got very hot. I had another household member to check to ensure they were properly installed (ie negative/ positive terminals were correctly placed).
