This had spilled in the box when it arrived and the whole box stunk to high heaven. Just awful.

Ladies, especially my fellow Black women who have been struggling with growing your hair out length-wise. I regret that I didn't take photos of my hair growth journey with this product. But, for the first time EVER, I've found a product that actually delivers visible hair growth results!! I will literally NEVER change my hair routine again after using this spray for 5 months!!I know that it's hard to believe without photo evidence but I'm a real woman who has struggled with achieving my dream hair length for YEARS! I've wanted hair flowing down my back since I was 9 and have tried different routines and fads up until now. I'm 28 this year and I wish I had known about fermented rice water so much sooner!!I'm going to be frank about this product. At its worse, the water spray will smell funky like powdered parmesan cheese that you put on pizza or spaghetti! But the results are WORTH IT, WORTH IT, WORTH IT! Plus, the smell is gone after rinsing out the spray later!I have the typical dry-prone, thick, curly, kinky hair for Black women so if you're like me and I want hair length results, here is my routine that I will forever follow religiously:ONCE PER WEEK:1. Thoroughly spray THIS BRAND Rice Water Spray into your hair and on your scalp. Cover with a plastic cap for at least 15 minutes. Rinse it out!2. Gently pat a towel on your hair to remove excess water from rinsing. Don't be too rough or over dry and soak up all the moisture.3. Use ORS' Rice Water Leave-In Conditioner for extra moisture! Style as you like! I typically leave my hair in a bun or do twists!4. Try to remember to wear a sleep cap to protect your hair at night, but I'm guilty of not doing this every night!5. Add a scoop of Giant Sports Collagen Peptide Powder to 1-2 of your daily drinks! This can be found here on AmazonI know that it seems like a lot but this routine has actually succeeded in increasing my hair LENGTH! My hair used to be at my shoulders and 5 months of doing this later and it's now down to my mid-back! If you're desperate for results, give this routine a try! I will forever be faith to this brand's rice water spray!

Hellooooo! It’s FERMENTED rice water! Yes it’s going to smell! Yes it’s going to promote hair growth, less shedding, thicker and fuller hair. No don’t leave it in unless you add some sort of essential oil to it. I normally spray it after my wash, then add my deep conditioner & sit under a heat cap at least 30 minutes. I can make my own and have in the past, this is convenient.

I purchased to try out rice water on my hair for growth and health. I really like how this adds big volume to my hair and even makes it wavy. I haven't used it long enough to know how it affects growth. The scent is awful (like a spit-up rag!) but I spray it on, let it set then wash it out. It can be a little drying to my already damaged, thin ends so I focus on the scalp and roots. It comes in a nice, easy-to-use refillable spray bottle. Now that I've tried it, I will likely make my own enriched with traditional pomelo skins for better scent and value. In my opinion, it's about double the cost of the value, especially since it smells so bad. If you're not into DIYs, I would still recommend trying to see if it's right for your hair and you don't mind splurging a little.

The product description says "Ingredients: Fermented rice water". I was so excited to start using this product. When it got here, I decided to smell it so I would know what to be prepared for when I used it. It hardly even smelled fermented... So I don't even know if that part of the ingredients is accurate. But it gets worse. I checked the label (pictures of which are conveniently incomplete in the listing, so I've added a picture here) and there is Rosemary essential oil in it. I'm allergic to rosemary, so now I can't even use this product. I'll be returning it.

First off for all of you ladies who are complaining of the smell, please give it a chance. It will grow on you and grow your hair. To me, it smells just like parmesan cheese! No, don't get me wrong, I do not want my hair to smell like cheese. However, I can gladly endure the pleasant cheesy scent to reap the benefits of long beautiful fast growing hair! Did I mention this stuff grows hair fast? Let me tell you, when I say fast, I mean like as fast as your elderly parents' lawn grows, and they are asking you to trim it every few weeks fast! This stuff is liquid cheesy smelling fertilizer for your follicles! I would give it 10 stars if I could!

I have used rice water for many years and can attest that it works wonders. I have bought several products from this company and I have had very good experiences with them. I use this every other day before I shower or right after I shampoo my hair. I leave in for 15 minutes and instead of rinsing it off right away i put my conditioner on to seal it in than i rinse. Yes my hair did grow and I have reduced hairfall. Who cares if it stinks I want long healthy hair!
