Excellent for the price! Don't let other negative reviews chase you off without reading.
THIS IS THE REVIEW YOU'RE LOOKING FOR: If you are wanting a nice looking media cabinet but are reading negative reviews on this product about it being cheap, flimsy, and having sway, so you're wondering if you should buy one of the $300-$400 cabinets instead, this is your lucky day. If you are looking for solid wood furniture, then that's indeed not this, but good luck finding that for this price. This is particle board with veneers, but once put together properly it is totally sturdy and looks just as good as the picture of the product. I'm totally pleased. There is nothing wrong with this product if you have even the basic know how of installing cam locks with particle board (there is a balance between too loose, and over-tightening and breaking the particle board). The only negative I encountered was that the assembly instructions weren't really specific and at one point I installed a piece upside down and had to undo a few steps and correct it. This could have been avoided if I had looked ahead far enough to future steps to realize it was wrong, but they should be more specific. Even with the additional cam lock use, the final product is sturdy. The glass can be adjusted to make a nice, close fit as well. This product was exactly what I was looking for. No disclaimer. I know nothing of this company (actually never heard of it), and have not been compensated in any way. I'm just a guy that wanted an affordable media cabinet, and found one.

Good Component Stand But Will Need Significant Hardware Changes to Make it Perfect!
Still great after 4 years of use! Well, there isn't a doubt that after assembly, it looks pretty good in your living room (or where ever you decide to install it). However, the pretty look comes with a few warnings: Pros: 1. Looks stylish, the dark chocolate color fits well with my room setting. 2. Excellent height that does not look too short in the room or that looks staggeringly tall. Its just perfect in my opinion 3. The Glass doors are conveniently magnetic mechanism so that's another plus and that adds to its overall looks 4. Assembly was easy and the instructions aren't bad either. I mean this is a basic installation and its not rocket science Cons: 1. Flimsy constructions (what can we expect out of a particle board assembly) 2. Impossible to move around once you have installed all your gadgets inside the racks (like receiver, dish box, blu ray etc. etc.) 3. The back cover once installed does not leave any room for you to put any wires from the rear. Considering the cons, I did some hardware changes to the stand to make it work to its best potential: 1. I cut the back board from the bottom so I could easily put all the cables nodes into the receiver so it takes care of Con#3 2. I purchased 2 x 4-in Rubber Swivel Caster with locks and 2 without lock, and installed them underneath. Now the moving the cabinet on the carpet is a an easy breeze, so it takes care of Con#2. The table is still flimsy but it will not break on its own or once its rolled on to the corner, it won't make any difference so that flimsiness can be ignored IMHO! So my 4-stars are after the changes I made, but otherwise I'd give it 3-stars. I have taken 1-star out as I'd have liked the company to make this stand with caster wheels for easy moving it around and also be considerate of how we will put cables if the back board does not leave enough room to put the cables from behind. Bottom line: if you are willing to make some hardware changes yourself, this is a good component stand, fairly sturdy with all the weight I have inside with all my components inside, But if you want to use this as is right out of the box, you will struggle with moving it around to its location after putting all components inside. I am not able to insert any images in here but I have posted them online so people can still see how I made best of this component stand. Take a look at all images to understand the issues. You will also see all the tools I needed to make the hardware changes. Enjoy making this table to its best potential! http://imgur.com/za6XZgQ,Dr8s4GP,rgzEbkG,mrcwNPz

REAL DEAL REVIEW!!!!
Based on all the negative reviews, I needed to put in my 20 cents on this product. First off, I have been looking off and on over the past year for different parts of my dedicated home theater as I have been building it out. Paint, carpet done. Projection screen and projector up and looking awesome!!! 11.1 surround setup now complete. Dolby Atmos & DTS: X are truly next level. I need to pick up a pefect black leather power loveseat w/ console, then my dream personal home theater will be complete. I wanted my theme to be all about the screen. All 120" of 4K projected glory. Therefore my theme is black. EVERYTHING is black or been blacked out for the maximum theater experience. Which brings me to this 3 star Somax cabinet. I looked at all different styles and price points. When it came to my theater and it's components. I spared no expense... not to brag. But to convey they fact, I am not playing here. But something about this Sonax and it's very mediocre 3 star rating kept talking to me. As my theater was coming to completion, a last minute change of final component location and layout made me pick this Sonax. It came today. 2 days early... Totally unexpected, great suprise. After all is assembly and setup, I could not be any happier. This rack turned out to be perfect for my needs. This was one aspect where cheap was perfect. For the design, manufacture, packaging and assembly I would easily put this furniture in the order of IKEA assembly furniture. The instructions, part and butts all came together nicely. If you ever followed Lego instructions, very similar in look and ease. It takes patience and common sense to assemble this item, but when you do. You will have a fairly sturdy, well made piece of furniture that does what it was designed for. At a VERY reasonable price. Glass door cabinet, for this price??? 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for me. Oh, AND it's black :)

Took me a while to find a nice stand for our record player and media devices. This was a great price and looks pretty good. Easy to assemble with one person. One of the glass doors is slightly off to the other, but it's not really noticeable. I'm happy with the purchase and the quality for what I paid.

Awesome!!! This is perfect with no wobbling as previous people have said. It all boils down to nailing the 2 back pieces correctly and using all the nails as the directions stated. Electronics stores do not have these any more so was happy when I found this at a reasonable price. Well worth the money. Thank you so much.

Hey everyone, I just finished assembling this component stand and went to put my Yamaha 300 amp inside of it and discovered that with all of the cables sticking out out the back, the glass would not close on the front. I ended up taking the smaller cardboard piece on the back and just snapping them off. Long and short if you have normal components with normal speaker wires, this component stand WILL NOT fit them, it needs to be 1.5" deeper.

For the money this is a great turntable & lp stand. I dont like the glass magnets but plan on replacing them w smtg else; hard to find a product like this tho good quality otherwise solid.
