So awesome to watch Highlander again
I just thought to see how Adrian Paul is. Check his filmography. I have always enjoys martial arts. I thought back in the 90s when I was watching Highlander "certainly looks like he has real world training, that it's not all just choreographed" when I read about the training Adrian has had I decided I have gotta see if I can own the series. I have stayed up & got very little sleep because I can't stop watching. Takes me back... but it's amazing how the passing of time affects how you remember things. Its been awesome to revisit the series. Better yet, I own it. Now if I could buy that incredible sword. And get the series on Blu-ray would be even better. Thanks Adrian. Marie Purvis

Probably the best season of all six seasons.
It was Season 3 when I really became interested in the television series. An interesting bit of trivia about the Cross of St. Antoine episode, was the episode was originally planned for Season 2 under the title of: "The Chalice of St Antoine". Due to the fact the screenwriter was an American union rules could not allow it to be filmed in Paris so a quick re-set we got the episode with Luther instead. For those of you who watch to gag reel in which Joe Dawson was trying to break the window of the door while his girlfriend was being murder in front of his eyes. What happened was the speacial sugar glass window that was to be used broke in transit to the location. The director decide the actress playing the scholl teacher needed to have a speaking part so there were no funds in the budget was a replacement. If you look closey Dawson's cane was actually a crowbar painted brown.

Good season
This was a good season of the show. As the season went on it got better. It seems to have got its feet under it after the second season with no James Horton or Tessa as a focus.

NOT a season DVD
WARNING. This is just ONE episode, not Season 3 as the Amazon's Editorial Review claims. Customer reviews also say it is the full season.

"Methos" A cannot miss episode!
"Methos." We are introduced to an intriguing Watcher--who also happens to be the elusive myth of an immortal: Methos. Great episode. He crosses paths with a homicidal immortal who wants to destroy everything in his path--friends, and all who are close to MacLeod. Revenge, as MacLeod accidentally, in the past, caused him to lose his reason, and reason for living: his singing voice.

the best so far
The stories of Highlander: The Series set the bar for all other science fiction/action adventure series to follow. Combining a mixture of Celtic legend, immortality, the idea of good versus evil and all the gray areas that go along with that, amazing sword choreography, and romance, Highlander epitomizes what makes for great story telling. And no season has done this more than Season 3 of Highlander: The Series. Each episode of this season furthers the Highlander legend with beautifully constructed flashbacks to various time periods of the past, masterful story telling of human and immortal frailties and the repercussions of past actions upon the present. The joy and agony of mortal love, of friendships torn apart, and the loss of dear friends are all vividly depicted in the 22 intelligent stories that comprise Season 3.And if that were not enough, the Season 3 DVD set contains many hours of video/audio commentary by our favorite stars, bloopers, details about story development, and production notes, Watcher chronicles about all the mortal and immortal characters, and all 22 scripts that can be printed out and followed along with the respective episodes. This is truly a comprehensive collection of behind-the-scenes commentary. The nine disc set comes in a beautifully illustrated collector's box with each DVD in it's own protective sleeve. The menus on each disc were artistically created and were designed for easy navigation. If you were to buy only one season of Highlander, Season 3 is the set to buy. It has always been said that Highlander: The Series is a collection of one-hour movies. I would put Season 3 of Highlander on DVD up against any other movie compilation out there today.
