Amazon Basics Beach Umbrella - Light Blue Striped

I wasn't sure what I would get with an Amazon brand product (my first one). Am totally impressed. Comes in two pieces. 1) the bottom part has a corkscrew that you add a metal piece as a cross bar to help you screw it into the sand as an anchor, 2) The top part is a large and sturdy umbrella that locks into place, and can even be set tilted into place at the top. Comes in its own carrying case, and fold up/down easy. Perfect for hot summer beach days. And scores better than any beach umbrella you'll get at CVS. Also adorable patterns/colors to choose from. I wish I bought this years ago. It's going to last many summers and will now be a beach staple. Bravo AmazonBasics! I will check out your other products after being so impressed with the quality of this item.

I bought two of these for my family's vacation home in Florida. After renting one in Hawaii with a good sand screw on the bottom, I knew we needed one like it. The beaches gets so hot in the summer and shade is definitely needed for a break from the sun. I was very pleasantly surprised when the umbrella arrived. They are really high quality considering they are an "Amazon Basic" product. The poles are light aluminum, but very sturdy. The sand screw is a lot longer than other ones I saw online. Even when the wind picked up we didn't worry at all about them flying away. The umbrella itself is lined with the metallic material that doesn't let light pass through like others. I chose the bright orange ones and they really stand out in the sea of blue stripe umbrellas . Which is super helpful when the kids start to drift down the beach. They just need to keep an eye on the bright orange umbrellas. I highly recommend these. They are a great value!

The one thing I was disappointed by is that, like some other comments mention (and even picture) there is no hole in my top piece for the pin connected to the bottom piece. It's not the end of the world because the price is still great and the umbrella is still sturdy. The tilt mechanism is a wonderful feature. The orange is amazing. And I've never had an easier time screwing a beach umbrella into place. Top that with the fact that I didn't have to hold it and adjust it every time the wind... I'm pleased!

Love this umbrella so much! Lightweight, easy to assemble and store, the screw bottom really anchors it in the sand and feels secure even on a windy day and it’s absolutely beautiful! Love the yellow, it’s a muted tone and looks so clean and chic. The shade coverage is perfect and adjustable, it is able to tilt with the push of a button, the tilt feature is awesome but on a windy day that could make it a little less resistant to blowing away although it hasn’t happened yet. Definitely recommend this beach umbrella, it fits the bill for a perfect beach day!

This umbrella lasted a whole beach-going summer and was mounted on my balcony all winter and it's still going strong! It has never toppled on me at the beach. If you know how to dig it into the sand that should never happen. You need to use the metal bar that hangs from it to twist the umbrella. The screw base works amazingly well to anchor it in sand. The color hasn't faded either, despite being left outside all winter.

Excellent value - I have both the blue and the black. The black cuts more heat for sure. They are both sturdy. They regularly experience 30+mph winds on a balcony in S Fla. Yes, there is an auger at bottom, but it can be removed (with tools it appears - or pried off) but I left it alone and used some zip ties to attach it to the balcony railing. There a little air vent at top and it tilts. They come with a matching carrying bag with strap

The wire spokes holding the umbrella apart on the inside turned inside out on a windy day. If these spokes were made sturdier this umbrella would be perfect. It is nice and big, lightweight so easy to carry, and blocks the sun well. I had to tie the end of a spoke to a cooler with a rope and that kept it from blowing.

Great value for the price...used on a beach trip. This umbrella was easy to assemble and store at the end of the day. Impressed with the quality and durability...it did not buckle or invert like nearby umbrellas in the wind. The additional metal handle, used to turn/screw umbrella into the sand made it easy, made the job so much easier...very thoughtful.

Soddisfattissima! Ombrellone leggero e bello.. Per me che vado spesso sola al mare con un bambino carica come un mulo è stata una salvezza! Comoda borsa per trasportarlo (io lo porto a tracolla dietro), ampia copertura dal sole, regolabile in altezza in modo facile.

This thing is EXACTLY what we needed for our baby on the beach. Sturdy and well designed. Highly recommended.

Easy to use, good looking but to much piece in plastic. Not sur about the robustness on a long run.
