Alex Discover Tots Art Start Kids Art and Craft Activity, 6 Super Easy and Fun Art Crafts for Children, Kit for Children to be Creative and Use their Imagination, For Ages 2 and up

I came across this kit while looking for activities for my 16 month old son to do indoors during winter. This is definitely a great kit for younger toddlers. There's no glue, basically everything uses stickers or sticky paper, the tissue papers that are included have all sorts of different textures that are oh so interesting for little toddlers to explore, its inexpensive, and did I mention that everything you need is included?? A few people have complained that their kids completed all of the art activities quickly, this kit is called "Art Start" and is geared towards much younger children than most of the other art kits, if your child is over 2 and has experience doing art kits this may not be the kit for you because they may do all of the activities quickly. Also, the amount spent on the activities might depend a little on the parent's involvement or your child's mood on a given day really. Other people have pointed out that you could save money and just buy the individual items yourself, but in some ways you are paying for convenience here (in this case convenience costs $9 and I'm ok with that). This kit is a great way to give your toddler a few different art projects to work on with a little different variety and see which projects they find entertaining and which ones they do not. I am happy with the quality of the items as well and have purchased several other kits from ALEX Jr since buying this one.

This is a great little art kit for kids who are too young for paint and glue. It is entirely sticker based. There are two activities where you peel off stickers and put them on the cut out. Two other activities consist of one giant sticky page with string, sequins, etc to stick on. The last two pages seem to be for coloring. I wouldn't buy this for an older toddler. However my daughter was 15 months when we bought it, and she has really enjoyed it! It's a great activity because we can leave and go back to it as her attention span allows without cleaning up a huge mess.

This is a nice project to do with young children. It entertains them for a while and my kids look forward to doing crafts with each other.

My son and I really enjoy the Alex Toy art sets. They are easy to use and create very little mess. I love that the art projects really are geared for the younger set since most art projects seem to be geared towards older kids. This kit came with 6 different art projects: 2 sticker projects, 2 tissue paper projects and 2 coloring projects. My son loved the sticker projects the most because he loves stickers and liked that he was placing them on a fun shape to create a picture rather than just on a white piece of paper that has no rhyme or reason. I really liked the tissue paper projects since they don't involve glue! You peel off a sticker that you stick the tissue paper on to. This made it really easy to use and wasn't messy. The coloring projects were our least favorite since coloring isn't anything too special for us. I did like that the crayons were shaped like little flowers but my son found them hard to hold but not really a deal breaker by any means.

My kids love doing ALEX crafts. My 2 and 3 year old have craft time every day and the ALEX line of products has made craft time a lifesaver with quality products and kits that keep them entertained and artistic. This kit, while basic, was no exception to the rule. You get three different types of crafts in the set, 2 of each kind. Which is great if you have two kids working on the crafts like we do. While the 2 of each craft are not identical (for example the sticker craft has one giraffe and one tree) the activity is the same so two kids can do the crafts together. While this isn't one of those sets that will provide endless hours of fun it's definitely perfect to keep on hand for a rainy day or two. The kids love doing the crafts and there really is minimal mess with this set (which is a big plus for parents). If your kids enjoy arts and crafts time this is the perfect set to keep in your collection for a rainy day or a last-minute project when you haven't had time to plan a craft project for the day.

I thought the product was ok. The quality of the stickers wasn’t great. They didn’t really peel off easily. Re: the experience itself, my 20 month old would be occupied for about 3-4 mins with each activity. So maybe 20 min in total for the entire set. Given that, I do think it’s a bit pricey for how much you can get out of it. Otherwise the product is as promoted (except that I was expecting easier to peel off stickers).

Great little kit of craft items - but my 2 1/2yr old twins blew through all 6 projects in under 15minutes. Wish there was more in the box - even if it was more of the same stuff. Very age appropriate. They loved the sticker art most. Would have liked to see stickers other than circles - make a city scene with stickers of cars, hiuses, shops, etc. Or a garden background with flowers and animals.

This was a great activity for my 18 month old in the winter, though I would recommend this for someone a bit older to get the full benefit. We used this multiple times, coloring and placing stickers and then using the finished art to make cards for friends and family. There are multiple simple crafts included and you can really do as you wish with all of the materials. It would be perfect for a 2 year old who is ready to start working on art projects.

Bought it for my 18 month old. The crayons are shaped well for tiny fingers to grasp but terribly useless - they are just too hard and won't write unless you press really hard. The only thing that kept my toddler engaged were the stickers - giving it 3 stars for that. The collage activity is okay as well.

Worth it for moms that are looking for always something different for there kids. Adds variety to there little lives. My child used a couple of them and I still have 2 or 3 left and you can always go back to the tree and giraffe to add more stickers after. Plenty of stickers... to use. They should add more shredded coloured tissues and more coloured tissues as well. Felt it wasnt enough snowflakes either. Overall still happy I got it to occupy my child's time with!

Lot's of fun. There's 6 project so you can spread them out over a week or two. I love those crayons, the're better than crayola for the little ones.
