Might help reduce ligament & tendon pain & build muscle
About 18 months ago I started developing tenderness and in some cases significant pain in several of my tendons & ligaments (connective tissue). I am 72 and know that connective tissue becomes more fragile as one ages and I exercise 6 days a week three of which are at the gym doing both cardio and strength. Since I am aware of the issue with age & connective tissue, when doing strength training I go for less resistance and more repetitions. I have been doing the same machines with the same resistance with the same number of repetitions for years and had previously not experienced any connective tissue issues. I saw my primary doc, rheumatologist and orthopedist but other than confirming some tearing via imaging in some cases they had nothing to offer as a solution. One of the issues with getting older is that I think some docs are too quick to ascribe issues to age rather than something that can be cured. I did some research myself developing the hypothesis that it wasn’t normal to develop problems in up to 17 locations at a time and that there might be a systemic problem possibly diet. Ligaments and tendons are made of a type of protein called collagen, specifically types 1 & 3 collagen. Collagen like all proteins is made in the body using amino acids with a ‘recipe’ specifying what quantity of which amino acids are required. Although the human gut can’t absorb collagen (you wouldn’t want it to), the human GI tract digests dietary collagen (breaks it down to the parts) into the constituent amino acids which can be absorbed in the colon and then used by the cells in muscles, tendons & ligaments to repair and/or build new muscle, tendon or ligament cells. Since there are 19 different amino acids used to make type 1 collagen and no tests to ID which amino acid(s) is lacking it doesn’t make sense to try individual amino acids such as proline. I work to maintain a healthy diet so limit consumption of eggs (cholesterol), meat (saturated fat) and nuts (kidney stones). Long story/short, about 5 days after starting the collagen supplement my connective tissue tenderness went away. After about a month, to test the causation/correlation question, I quit taking the collagen supplement and the tenderness started to come back in about 5 days. Prior to the connective tissue tenderness developing, I had been curious as to why I didn’t seem to be adding muscle mass but wasn’t trying to buff out so didn’t worry about it. A couple of months after starting the supplement I noticed that my shirts were starting to get a little tighter through the shoulders (more muscle). The directions are to take 3 capsules 2 times per day (total of 6/day). With meds, my personal belief is that less is better and only take what you need to achieve the target outcome. Consequently, I only take 1 capsule per day in the AM about an hour before breakfast which works for me. Side effects will vary but for me included occasional and very mild nausea until I had breakfast and slightly darkened stool.

Awesome results on delaminated nail and cracked heels
I've always had strong, fast-growing nails, but about 3 years ago, my left thumbnail started to delaminate at the nail bed, causing it to split. I cut it short, moisturized it, put oils, salves, and ointments on it, but nothing helped. While researching something else, I found an article about collagen and how the amount of it is diminishes as the body ages. Some further research indicated it could help with nail repair. Here's my experience with Doctor's Best Collagen Types 1&3: 1/4 - Took one caplet in the morning on an empty stomach (I read some people have reactions, so I wanted to start off at a low dose). 1/5 - Took one caplet in the morning on an empty stomach 1/6 - Took one caplet in the morning and one before bed on an empty stomach 1/7 - Took two caplets in the morning on an empty stomach 1/8 - Took two caplets in the morning on an empty stomach 1/9 - Took two caplets in the morning on an empty stomach 1/10 - Took three caplets in the morning on an empty stomach. In the afternoon, I removed (with a little work) a piece of something that looked and felt like hardened cuticle from under my thumbnail. I also noticed that the nail was no longer split. 1/11 - My left thumbnail looks normal except the white part of the nail dips very slightly into the pink part. The skin under the nail looks normal, even when examined using a 10x jeweler's loupe. I'm impressed. I was hopeful I'd see improvement in a few weeks and maybe even full resolution of the problem in a few months. I never expected such a fast result on a low dose, especially since the nail had been damaged for so long. Again, my nails have always been great, so your results may not be as fast as mine. Edit 1/18/2015: My thumb nail is still growing without a split, but another hard piece is forming at the edge of the nail bed. Maybe it's something that needs to finish growing out from under the nail bed. I'll update again in a few weeks. All of my other nails look even better than usual and my cuticles seem a little less dry, with fewer hangnails. Edit 5/19/2015: I've been taking 3 capsules every morning since the last edit. The hard piece under my thumb nail regrew and still causes a bit of delamination under the nail, but the nail grows much longer before it splits. All of my nails look smooth and I still rarely have a hangnail.

Seems Good
Big pills so I have to use a pill cutter to take them. So far, noticed good results.

“It works! I noticed changes from the first week 👀✨”
I've been taking this pill for two weeks and I'm honestly amazed. I bought it because I was looking for something natural to help me with [food cravings / energy / digestion / appetite control / metabolism, etc.]. What I liked most is that it didn't give me any side effects, or any jitters or anything strange. Within a few days, I noticed fewer cravings and more energy throughout the day. I also noticed my stomach was a little less bloated (something I normally struggled with). The capsule size is easy to swallow, and it doesn't have a strange smell. The combination of ingredients gave me confidence because they're natural.
