Problematic, but worth it when they work.
I've given this 4 stars, but there are notable caveats.First, this particular product is somewhat unique in this price range. I was looking for a large length (200 feet) of LED string lights that I could power from one adapter. It needed to be flexible to fit along the perimeter of an outdoor deck which included a rope bridge (see photo). This item looked promising, especially with the ability to connect up to 8 strings of 33 feet each for a relatively small initial investment. So, I ordered this item which came with two strings and the adapter and installed it on my deck. It looked and worked great. Here's where the caveat comes in. I then ordered additional individual string sets (4 additional, for a total of 6) to complete my project. Everything was fine for a couple of days. Then, all the lights stopped working beyond string number 2. I had to troubleshoot each string and found that two were bad for no apparent reason. So, I started the return process for two of them and in removing them from the deck, one started working again. I ordered additional individual strings and two of those also had problems - one did not work at all and on the other only half the lights worked.I found a broken wire on one of the bad strings, but reconnecting it did not solve the problem. Also, on one particularly rainy day (perhaps it's coincidental), one of the strings began flashing on and off before going out altogether. It then started working again a couple of days later when it was drier (again, it may be coincidental).I found that the thin copper wires are very delicate and you have to be very careful to not bend them too much. Also, although the info that comes with the product lists a web site and an email address and even a QR code on the box, none of them seemed to work. I did make contact with someone at Homestarry when I responded to an email request to write a review, but the their reply to me was in very broken English and not overly helpful.Having said all that, the original two strings and the adapter have been flawless so far. And except for the hassle of multiple returns of bad strings, I do currently have my six total strings in place and working, at least for now. I'm concerned about how they'll hold up over time, especially if they make it to winter, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.Again, there aren't many options for connectable string lights, especially at a semi-reasonable price. That's why I'm giving it four stars. If that should change, I'll update this review.

Custom Umbrella Lights
Bought this and one addition string of lights for a total of 99'. I read all the reviews and thought I would try something a bit different. We have a rather large umbrella above our outdoor table. Its not round, but oblong. I thought I'd try stringing the lights on the spokes under the umbrella using zip ties. I started in the center and ran strand out to the end of the spoke and then back to the center. I then jump to the next spoke until I made it all around the umbrella. I had some extra lights when I got done so I ran one circle around the umbrella to use-up the extra lights. I used zip ties at the center of the spoke and one at the end of the spoke. On the circle that I ran above the spoke (between the spoke and the umbrella, I zip tied all 3 strands at the point they intersected on the spoke. I think I turned out pretty good (see the pics). My only problem, after several hours of use, part of one section, the lights went dim (pretty much the middle of a strand). After I turned them off for a while and then back on, they brightened backup. That is the reason for the 4 stars. The lights are easy to work with, the power cord could be longer.

BEAUTIFUL - So Far.
**UPDATE** After several days of a beautiful display, 5 of the strings stopped working. One started blinking and then went out. There's one remaining string illuminated. I'm contacting the seller to see how their customer service is going to handle this. I'll wait to see how to adjust the 'stars' for this review.I bought 3 sets of these for an outdoor ornamental tree near our negative edge pool. They look amazing. I learned a couple of things to keep in mind while installing them: 1) It's VERY easy to tangle the wires while you're installing, 2) If you purchase the 33ft sets, keep in mind that when you connect them, you'll have a significant section where there are no lights, and some connections to hide, 3) there is definitely heat emitted from these. I plugged them in while installing to be able to see where they're going, better, and you can feel the heat, 4) if you're installing them outside, invest in a converter that allows you to tie it into your low voltage system, otherwise, you'll be trying to waterproof the power adapter and the cord providing power. Finally, living in Arizona, the sun is brutal, so this will be a great test as to their durability. Combine the 115-degree temps with monsoons, and they'll certainly be put through a stress test.I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will withstand the weather, because they look amazing in the tree.

Awesome, except...
Nice warm lights, added versatility with connect-ability. Look gorgeous "nested" in large glass globe, or strung along as accent lighting. However: just like all the similar brands of string lights I've looked at, they don't bother to add safety features that would allow you to leave these on for long periods of time (and keep your piece of mind). What would it take, really, to make them not an acknowledged fire hazard: a replaceable thermal fuse, a touch of ventilation, a modest heat sink? Come on guys, spend the extra 25 cents on production and you'll sell a boat-load more of these. Think of all the retailers who will pass these by because they require lighting to stay on for 10-18 hours/day. Think of the homeowners who pass these by because your product basically tells consumers that they assume liability should they forget to unplug or turn off the lights. While I understand the fire risk is probably incredibly low (likely lower than traditional incandescents), still; do yourselves a favor and resolve this issue. Thanks.
