Easy to install, sturdy, solid, durable, and no significant wind noise. Only complaint was the top rubber strips were missing when from the box. Able to get refund for amount the of strips and then ordered them separately. Personally I think they are a lot better quality that OEM crossbars. Load capacity is same as OEM so it's more about personal preference than anything else

This doesn’t fit my car. However it needs to be returned to a UK location and shipping is not covered. As such, returning this item that is of no use to me is prohibitively expensive. This has been a frustrating experience.

Great price for the Thule Wingbar Edge, these are almost identical to the Aeroblade Edge which sells in the US for twice the price. Getting the fit kit was a little tricky, got it thru a seller on UK Ebay..The Journey Centre, but obviously had to pay exorbitant shipping costs. The roof rack works great, easy to install all for about $350 vs. $600+ for the Aeroblade Edge.

Doesn’t come with what you need to attach it to your vehicle. Would have been nice to know. Also there are no instructions in English.

This car rack's directions to mount were really bad. Also, the mounting brackets were not included and there was no mention of this in the Amazon listing or even in the directions!

please send a prepaid return shipping label. i will not pay for shipping back to GB Dunfermline which costs more than the product. i will keep disputed this with you/and the discover card. Marcia A. Braden

Ich habe mich (im Gegensatz zur Kombination aus den Füßen Rapid System 753 und der WingBar Evo) für die WingBar Edge entschieden, weil ich sie einfach schöner für mein Auto fand und auch nicht mehr als 2 Fahrräder transportieren möchte. Durch die schlechten Rezensionen der WingBar Evo, was die Verarbeitungsqualität angeht, war ich etwas skeptisch. Die Packungen, die bei mir ankamen (Montagekit für mein Auto, 2x ProRide 598 und 1x WingBar Edge) waren auch teilweise beschädigt, der Inhalt aber einwandfrei - gut verarbeitet, nicht verbogen wie auf manchen Fotos zur WingBar Evo zu sehen, und komplett. Allerdings finde ich schon seltsam, dass man von Thule anscheinend grundsätzlich beschädigte Packungen bekommt (war bei mir bei der WingBar und einem der beiden ProRides der Fall). Na ja, der Inhalt stimmte, also nicht gut, aber ok. Weiter findet man in den Rezensionen 2 "Probleme" beschrieben: (1) Man muss mehrere Teile bestellen (v.a. Montagekit für sein Auto) (2) Die Anleitung wäre unverständlich Zu (1): Da geht man auf die Thule Website, gibt an, für welches Auto man den Dachträger will, und bekommt alle benötigten Komponenten genannt. Das ist nun wirklich kein Hexenwerk... Dort erfährt man dann auch, ob man eine Variante mit ungleich langen Trägern braucht (ist z.B. bei vielen Kombis so, da das Dach an der Position der Vordersitze am breitesten ist). Zu (2): Wer mal einen IKEA-Schrank zusammengebaut hat, wird mit diesen Anleitungen keine Probleme haben. Ich fand alles gut bebildert und hatte den ganzen Träger innerhalb 1h auf mein Auto montiert. Sitzt, passt, wackelt nicht und sieht gut aus. Ein -bisschen- denken muss man beim Zuschnitt der Gummidichtungen, die die Träger oben abdecken - das ist bei der Evo wahrscheinlich etwas besser gelöst, da man die Dichtungen dort nicht abschneiden muss. Zu den Fahrgeräuschen: ich bin nun wirklich Geräuschempfindlich, vor allem was hohe/pfeifende Töne angeht. Ja, man hört auf der Autobahn ein Rauschen, wie wenn ein etwas stärkerer Wind geht, aber das stört mich wirklich nicht. Ich bin extra ohne die Fahrradträger (ProRide) Probe gefahren, das Geräusch nimmt auch mit montierten Trägern nicht zu und ist wirklich nur bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten überhaupt hörbar. Auch hierzu gibt die Thule Website übrigens einen Hinweis: die WingBar Edge wird dort als "leise" bezeichnet, die Evo als "die leiseste" Lösung. Man sollte also zur Evo greifen, wenn man die leisestmögliche Lösung sucht, mehr als 75kg transportieren möchte (die Evo ist bis 100kg zugelassen - aber Achtung, auf die Dachlast des Autos achten, die ist bei mir eh nur 100kg und der Träger wiegt ja auch selbst was) oder mehr Platz in der Breite braucht. Bei der Edge ist es schon so, dass der eigentliche Träger ja erst ca. 15cm von der Dachkante entfernt beginnt, man also (ein paar cm) weiter über das Dach heben muss, als es bei der Evo der Fall wäre. Dafür steht sie halt nicht über und ist ein bisschen näher am Dach. Tipp: sich bei Amazon einen Klappschemel bestellen und in den Kofferraum legen. ;-) Trotzdem denke ich, dass ich auch einen 3. Fahrradträger draufbekommen würde (habe die M/L-Version). Fazit: schöner, stabiler Fahrradträger, für meine Zwecke (am WE mit 1-2 Bikes in den Wald) genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Leicht zu montieren und was auch ein Pluspunkt ist: bei Thule bekommt man auch Ersatzteile, falls doch mal was kaputt geht. Noch ein letzter Tipp: ich habe mir noch das "One Key System" mit 8 Schlüsseln dazu bestellt (4 für die WingBar Füße und je 2 für die Fahrradträger), so braucht man nur einen Schlüssel für sämtliche Schlösser.

Pros - Low height and great looking sleek design - Simple to take on and off, easily in under 10 mins once you know how - Very well made and feels like they'd last for years. Cons - Instructions are unclear and confusing, took several wrong attempts to fit - Because of the sleekness they are less wide than other bars so one 2 bike carriers or 1 carrier/1 narrow roof box is all they hold - So many Thule key locks, now up to 4 sets (1 each bike carrier, roof box and the actual bars!!) This is great, they fit really easily although some fettling is required as the instructions are not entirely clear so I may take some photos if anyone has any issues with installing. My car is white with a black sunroof so the bars really do contrast well and because they are the Aero type they a sleek and cut through the air with ease. Why does this matter, 2 reasons. Firstly the wind noise is low, at motorway speeds you'd never know they are there as tyres and other wind noise must over power the small noise they make. Secondly, as they cut through the air, it doesn't appear to make any difference to the fuel economy either. i recently took them on a trip to France and they are so low that coupled with the Thule Motion Sport box you can go on the standard Eurostar car carriage saving you lots of time on loading and unloading! Also fitted through all the toll gates. Amazing! I've got a 65 plate Mercedes A Class with the build in roof anchors so with the right fitting kit, it slots together easily and once you've built it the first time, it takes no longer than 10 minutes to refit as you've already got it adjusted to the correct width.

Acquistata versione M/L in abbinamento a Thule 3093 - Kit Fixpoint XT per Mitsubishi ASX, perfetto. Montaggio Le istruzioni sono tipo "ikea" in pienonstile svedese chiare, ma non chiarissime. Nel.mio caso ho trovato difficoltà a capire se alcune viti erano state dimenticate oppure no, poi ho scoperto che erano nell'altro kit (acquistato a parte). Nek complesso il montaggio non é difficile, ma le smonterei poco volentieri. Estetica Eccezionale, non ho altre parole, sono molte belle con un profilo che non altera le linee dell'auto, grandi, ma non invadenti. Prodotto eccellente da questo punto di vista. Robuste Il prodotto una volta agganciato da immediata sensazione di stabilita e robustezza. Perfette Prezzo Se acquistate sul sito Thule il prezzo é esattamente il DOPPIO! quindi prezzo fantastico per terminare consiglio tutti quelli interessati ad acquistarle solo dopo aver inserito il modello della propria vettura sul sito Thule e verificato quale misura é quella per se e soprattutto quale piedino va acquistato a parte per montarle, a sbagliare é un secondo...
