Old India Balti Mix 750 g

I have tried many different recipes to cook authentic indian curries at home but finding a masala (spice mix) that is already created for you takes all of the hassle out of having to blend yourself and minimises the cost of having to purchase each individual spice. I put two teaspoons of the mix in a small ramakin add water and blend to a paste then add it to finely chopped onions, garlic and ginger that have already been sweated down in a bit of oil. After that it's a personal choice as to what meat, veg or liquid you add but my favourite is to throw in a couple of chopped chillis, chicken breast and a combination of tinned tomatoes and chicken stock to create an almost restaurant perfect Balti Jalfrezi.

Use for making curries & I get so many compliments, add sweet paprika & ginger for a sweeter taste or chilli for more spice. Very versatile.

Lovely flavour. Family commented on my curry and how good it was. This was the only change I made. Two tablespoons for a meal for 4..perfect.Exceptionally quick delivery. Came the same day!
