Excellent
I am an old fan of Chrissie Hynde (and The Pretenders) and have become moreso into my early 50's. Hers was the first concert I ever chiose by myself to go see in the 1980's as a teen. I think I got even more interested in her music and all my '80s nostalgia when I had to move to Akron Ohio around 2003 for three years. Not the best of times, but special times as well. I really enjoyed experiencing her trip back to her old neighborhood and home in Akron. I always wondered what kind of quaint Akron neighborhood did she grow up in? What did her house look like? Kind of like I imagined! I have a strange fondness for Akron and feel like I could have lived there when a few great bands were formig.I also spent time in that local cemetery and loved the woods and luscious greenery, so I was happy to see her enjoy them in this as wellAnd of course, her live performances in this are just golden. Made me love her music, her style, her talent, and bold philosophy on life even more. It seems to me that her talent and singing have matured and become more beautiful.Overall, I am a bit of a loner myself and I really enjoyed traveling around with her and learning about her life. I feel I finally got to know Chrissie Hynde. She is an authentically real and beautiful person - quirky and insightful as heck, too. She inspired me around the idea of productive aloneness as an artist.

A great dvd....
I've been a big fan of Chrissie Hynde since 1979...this DVD is awesome!!! Found this right after I saw The Pretenders in July 2018.....one of her best shows ever! This DVD highlights some of her recent concerts and is a great interview with her while she travels, totally up front about things and funny at times....she can still rock with the best of them...def a must for Pretender fans..I love it!!!

Get it for the classic era concert.
I've seen other Pretenders documentaries and I always found Chrissie Hynde to be edgy and interesting. In this new bio, she seems tired and negative. When she does make an insightful observation, she often turns around and quickly contradicts herself. This is all Chrissie talking, there are not many old friends and bandmates giving opinions. The concert is certainly worth the price - good clean footage of the early band.

Very Impressed
I really enjoyed the behind the scenes personal footage in France. London and in Ohio. Very cool stuff. The Rockpalast show from 1981 was great too, Chrissie got pissed at someone a couple of times...very real and on top of their game! Good stuff

Fantastic candid day in the life kind of show
Great show. You get to Chrissie in a variety of environments. She is quite direct about her life and I learned a lot. Love it!

Thank god for Chrissie Hynde!
So much better than any of the stuff I hear on the radio, but that should go without saying since it is Chrissie Hynde.

Get to know Chrissie
Some interesting interviews with Chrissie Hynde as well as great concert footage of the "Alone" concert tour. And the inclusion of a gig with all original members of the Pretenders is a nice bonus.

Precious
A superb and insightful documentary that comes with an essential 1981 gig as an extra, which, if you were in any doubt, is proof of why the Pretenders and Christie Hynde are the legends they are! ‘They don’t make ‘em like they used to.’

Merci d'exister Chrissie.
